I honestly hope fans don't boo AD mercilessly

I don't blame AD for wanting out, I do blame him for how he and his people have handled this, which has been a disaster.

I think AD is not even remotely a sympathetic figure right now. But I think it will be a really bad look nationally and around the league if he gets booed relentlessly by the home crowd. I know people don't care and will boo him regardless.

But I kind of hope we can handle it with a bit more class.

I agree with you. I would like to show our future young players (who will be coming in a trade for AD) how classy NOLA fans can be. However, I think the chances of that are very slim. AD and his agent's actions have really opened a wound with the fans and the fact that Lebron is involved makes it worse.

Yea it's gonna be bad and we'll probably get hammered by the national media for it.

Why wouldn't they boo him? The guy basically said FU NOLA you aren't good enough for me. I may get tickets just so I cant join in.

I hope he is unmercifully booed, worse than the booing that LeBron got when he first left Cleveland for Miami.

There's a way that this situation could've been handled that would leave no ill will toward AD (for the most part), he didn't choose to take that path.

If Pels fans twitter has shown anything in the last week it's that New Orleanians seem to be proud of being petty.

Agreed.
Boo’ing is the last refuge of the powerless and weak. Plus, booing AD would be classless and accomplish nothing.

Booing isnt petty. It's just lame.

Now the Pacers chants were petty and awesome.

I don't think the Pels are this bold, but PEAK PETTY would be to treat it like a retirement year like they have been doing with DWade and Dirk.

Just do tribute videos of AD every home game.

As he should have. We aren't good enough for him. He absolutely SHOULD want out.

Its how he handled it.

Between how the Saints season ended and how this Rich Paul/AD/Bron/Lakers fiasco has gone down I think New Orleanians are looking for a reason to boo. AD may be bearing the brunt of that.

Of course, we will only have about 5-6k people at the game so it won't be too too bad.

Ad is a baby back bitch. For crying out loud he wore someone else's jersey for all star weekend. He might break down and cry if we keep booing him. I hope it affects him mentally.

AD decided to join up with a classless agent and promote his own agenda over his employer and his fans.

People who go to the games pay a lot of money for that privilege. If fans of the Pels want to boo a player who doesn't want to be a Pel, more power to them!!

The league has made a mistake forcing the Pels to play AD!! If the NBA wants to protect the integrity of the game, they shouldn't allow players, team's, agents, etc., to basically collude to create "superteams". But, money talks and the league allows richer markets to run the show.

Still think PEAK PETTY would be to do a tribute video to AD tonight and only show highlights of him vs the Lakers.
