I don't blame them.

Outside of Graham, Temple, and CJ, every player on the team is underpaid.

That is a good sign that the team knows how to build a winner.

The Pelicans have 16 players and only 15 roster spots, and are right at the luxury tax. They were never going to be involved in FA. They can only do one thing: trades, and that would be with guys like Graham and Temple.

Focus on the Lakers.

frick the Lakers

I said that. I'm jumping ship. Lebron and AD killed the Lakers.

I was hoping for a Graham, Hayes, Temple and some picks trade for another wing player. Could package those three for a 28 mil. contract.

Don't forget Rich Paul. We hate him too.

This KD thing is throwing the entire FA market into chaos and often opens up opportunities. We'll still be waiting for the dust to settle on this into tomorrow and maybe through the weekend depending on when a KD deal actually gets done.

Thanks for having me.

I was saying, I wish the Pelicans had done a Celtic type trade. Trade a bunch of parts for a bigger contract.

That would be a problem for us next season, as it would mean lots of extra tax.

There are 2 issues with this.

1) Bigger contract is fine now, but will be what puts you over the tax line next season. That may be ok or not, we don't know the FO's long term plan for that.
2) Do you want to be better this season but stunt the growth of Trey and Dyson by adding someone that would take minutes from them?

It really needs to be the right opportunity, and we've already seen one target fans have had interest in, Huerter, require a 1st to get. I wouldn't give up a 1st to consolidate Graham/Jax into a slight upgrade.

I was thinking grab a player like Love, Heyward, or maybe even Hart.

Hayes and Graham gets you Hart easily. Considering he loves N.O. bring him back.

BTW I would chose BI over Durant

another wing player.

I would rather a 10-13 minute a game rim protector. A guy who really makes going in the paint a pain in the arse.

Hart

Now you are fricking with my emotions!!!

Also, frick the lakers indeed.

Wish they could have traded for Huerter. Would have been a great 3 point shooter off the bench.

I believe the best Pels off season move is to trade CJ to the Knicks and sign Kemba Walker as a short-term rental.

I'd rank that just below "dig up Len Bias and sign him to a max contract."
