I'm excited. Either this team makes significant strides in the right direction with regards to the roster/chemistry, or I am dumping my season tickets.

Either I get enjoyable basketball, or I'm blowing my money on something else.

I was excited enough to buy season tickets when we got Boogie, and still excited enough to upgrade them a couple weeks later.

I'm ready to eagerly cheer on the Pels, but I've seen nothing so far to suggest they've improved, unless that 11 game stretch towards the end is what we'll see next season.

The Boogie deal, oddly, killed my excitement. Expectations are higher now and I just don't think this staff and front office can lead this team.

I'm not sure what expectations are reasonable
nobody associated with this team from the front office to the coaches to the players has ever won anything. gentry certainly hasn't and neither have Davis, holiday or cousins

take out that one Phoenix season and there's not even a single playoff series win in there

I'm a little worried what will happen to the defense if they lose Holiday, but if they add shooters and a starting caliber guard that can create I'm pretty damn excited. This offseason can go so many different ways, both good and bad.

How can you not be excited? For pretty much the first time ever we have two of the top 15 players in the league. There's various avenues for the team to improve this off-season.

After years of being mediocre and stuck in the mud, for the first time in a while this team will be interesting next season. I can't wait.

Hard for me to imagine a "bad" offseason. They are just putting average to slightly above average guys around two mega stars

The difference between adding this set of guys vs that set of guys is minimal IMO. The offseason is REALLY about those two meshing, getting in shape, and healthy-- along with the stafff putting together a solid plan for how they are going to play next year

All the other stuff will distract us and cause debates, but 95% of the reason for the success next season will come down to those two, the staff, and staying relatively healthy.

To me a "bad" offseason is Holiday walking and then using the cap space to lock up Cousins with a new deal. That's good long term but as bad as possible for next season.

Doesn't it make the most sense for Cousins if he signs next year rather than this year?

They do that and they can still trade for a PG, use the room for a rotation piece, etc

And I would say that has about a 1 percent chance of happening, but even if it does, you have your two cornerstones locked up for a few years, and so much of it will come down to those two

Like I said, all the moves this summer will seem so important because it's all we have to focus on right now, but in reality, 3-10 on this roster will be average to slightly above or below average. Collectively, there will be a 2-3 win share difference between this offseason or that offseason. It's all about the Big 2 and a coaching staff that either uses them properly or doesn't

We have better odds than one number in roulette to get a pick!

Our team has Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis on it. For all the other crap and massive question marks, these guys will get real practice time in camp and preseason. You know they're both trying to figure out how to make this work before they even step foot into the facility this offseason. This is the first time we've had a true big 2. A solid offseason would be icing on the cake and health willing, I'll be fricking pumped opening day.

I don't understand what you're saying
if they are able to clear space and extend cousins that's a huge win
if they can't and holiday signs a big deal, when cousins hits FA this team will be so top heavy with the big 3 they might not be able to fill a roster

the cap concerns me
if it stagnates or even worse starts going backwards this team is fricked with a cousins FA max

when you mean get it done do you mean win a championship or having a fifty win season and winning a playoff series?

The answer is no for both though.
