Do we continue to let CJ and Ingram control the flow, or do we address this through free agency?

you need to watch the video breakdowns in this snapper Jones Twitter thread:

especially the last one...herb/BI at the top with screen & roll equals a wide open CJ 3. Pels have plenty of smart ball handlers that communicate, screen, dive and shoot. You add fricking zion to that and look out

What they need is a guy who can handle the ball well, create their own shot, shoot, and can also play off ball. We need a scoring guard/wing that can alleviate McCollum and Ingram off the bench in a 6th man type of role. Murphy doesn’t have the handles to do it and I don’t know if Kira will ever develop into an efficient scorer. We need to find a guy like Jordan Poole.

Draft-wise the safest bet for that is Mathurin

Don’t need a starter. Will prob need to add a cheap veteran backup though

I believe if we add a 1st round rookie, we will have 15 players on guaranteed contracts.

A guy like Temple or Graham would need to be moved to add anyone. We will also RIGHT up on the Lux Tax line, like within a couple of hundred thousand I think.

They can’t. Season is over. May as well not even play the games.

CJ has been running point fine, Ingram runs point, Zion will handle some responsibilities when he’s back. Kira was improving and will be a 3rd year player once he’s back healthy next year. A cheap Free Agent for added depth along with Jose Alvarado would be sufficient enough.
Somebody like a Tyus Jones, R Neto, Corey Joseph would be fine. They are Just gonna be depth anyway.

very curious what we do with Kira this offseason. Maybe we keep him and do a wait and see approach but we’re running out of room for small guards on this team. You don’t want too many of them.

The Pels have ballhandlers in CJ, BI, Zion, and Herb in the starting lineup. The Pels are about to wreck the league.
