There doesn't seem to be a true PG in the top 10 prospects of the draft. Do we continue to let CJ and Ingram control the flow, or do we address this through free agency?

With Zion also coming back there's no real need for one.

CJ is a true point guard, it's the position he's played his basketball of his career at....

I agree with LosLobos and saintsfan. With the three scorers we have in BI, Zion, and CJ, I'm not sure we need another guard who is going to handle the ball very often. We really just need a guy who can play good defense and knock down open shots, which they should be getting a lot of.

What we really need to do is to turn Graham into someone like Caldwell-Pope or Alec Burks.

It's something they're going to have to figure out imo.

There are times where CJ just gets blinders. He's not a natural distributor yet he still ends up with 5-6 assists a night.

Last night, Jose stepped up and was doing some nice work getting the offense going.

CJ is a combo guard but he has roots back to youth days as a PG.

He's been on record since we traded for him that he likes being a PG and it feels natural for him. His assist stats are at career highs since he's taken over the job.

This. Dame just covered that role more in Portland. Now w/o Dame, we are really seeing what he can do as the lead guard. Plus as others have said, BI and Zion can be the primary ball handler as well.

CJ and Brandon have been great at taking turns running the show... I have to imagine how much easier it will be for them having Zion there at the 4 instead of Hayes.

He’s a combo guard, which means he is a mix of both. He’s just been slotted at the 2 through his pro career because Dames was the point next to him.

We have plenty of ball handlers, especially once Zion returns. You would essentially have to get one of the best point guards in the league to justify shaking up the lineup and taking the ball out of CJ, Zion and Ingrams hands.

Watching the games, he seems fluid and natural at PG. He's not committing a huge glut of turnovers or anything... his turnover #s are basically the same as they were in Portland despite the higher usage.

what point in the game last night made you think our first priority should be to add a true point guard?

Allow Brandon Ingram to develop

Get Zion back

Allow CJ to merge with this team more

We don't need a pure point when you have 3 ballhandler/playmakers...especially with how fricking awesome BI is at it now. Just think of him as the point guard on offense.
