Monty didn't change much.. but it was pretty expected that they would finally shoot better than 20% from 3..

Willie literally changed nothing. Started Hayes who did nothing. Graham first guard off the bench who fueled PHX run to double digit lead.

Not playing repo man 1st and 3rd quarter after having Chris Paul tired the time he was out there and having jones on Chris Paul instead of bridges, I will say horrible

BI and CJ also shot combined 16/41 and we only made 5 threes

Regardless, he didn’t help us tonight. Bad rotations, poor job matching up defensively, poor job offensively. I’m not saying we would have won had he pushed the right buttons, but he certainly was a large part of the issue tonight.

And one more reminder, we shouldn't play lineups the same as regular season, should adjust roster to win playoff games, sit hayes,Graham and Marshall

The defense at the start was terrible
They need ti grind cp3 down from the 1st play of the game not let him see the full court and wear him out.

Bridges will not have this big of a game .
We win game 6 @home

Phoenix goes the way cp3 goes beat him up get him tired and you win

sometimes I miss the old NBA where starters all played 42+ minutes in the playoffs.

But I don't miss the games having final scores of 88-81

I agree we need to use the young legs of Jose and Herb to make life hell for CP3.

It was funny the one time Graham tried to guard CP3 beyond the halfcourt line CP3 went by him as if he wasn't even there...

The solution is simple. MORE MINUTES FOR ALVARADO. PERIOD.

Bridges was a stud tonight. BI did not play much defense on him though. Not sure why Willie insists on playing Graham. He is such a liability on both ends. Nance has struggled a bit as well on the glass. He has fumbled a lot of rebounds. Hopefully CJ finds his shot soon.

Agreed, we could have won but shots were not falling tonight. We will play different Thursday in the Blender.

I’m mean… his game plan and rotations got us to a 2-2 series and Phoenix made a lot of adjustments and exploited several matchups. This is the most I’ve seen Phoenix change up since the series started.

It’ll be more interesting to see how Green adjust at the SKC.

Monty changed quite a bit...

1) Aaron Holiday during Jose Alvarado minutes in bench lineups
2) Bridges primarily guarding BI much more than CJ
3) When BI caught the ball, it was almost an instant double with Bridges/Crowder and DA.
4) Monty went with the double big DA/McGee lineup in spot minutes, and also went with a mobile big Biyombo off the bench to defend more on the perimeter, where McGee struggles.
5) Screens in the backcourt when Alvorado or Herb Jones picked up CP3 full court, with an extra guard at times.

What game were you watching?

What? He changed a lot tonight. Holiday and Biyambo combined for 14 minutes. He played two bigs with Biyambo on the court for the first time in the series. Shamet played 25 minutes, and Paul barely came out of the game.

Paul played 39 minutes, but the big one was Bridges.

Bridges played 47.

The only scheme changes he made where throwing a couple of new defensive guys at us, and it wasn't those guys who caused 6 straight frickin turnovers in the 1st

They got hot from 3, and we couldn't make one to save our lives

This is a horribly shallow take. Monty threw a ton at Willie tonight, and it caught them off guard.

The Suns were the 9th best team shooting the 3 in terms of % this year. They were shooting 29% for the series. That number wasn't going to stay like that even with Booker out.
