I dont think he'll shot 39% with a real PG

This.

He'll be better than the numbers from previous years because he has the best PG in the league.

Here's what Ariza is still owed. Not a bad contract for a starting SF.

$6,322,320

$6,790,640

$7,258,960

$7,727,280

I also think/hope that we have to get more than Ariza out of this. Indiana looks to have pulled the most value so they should have to give up a pick or send other parts our way.

I agree. A Pacers pick should be pretty decent, too.

love like or hate the move we upgraded the 3 and got rid of posey. giving up a very good young 1 but i actually like the deal. can see why some don't though.

I think he was asked to shoulder too much of HOU scoring load last year.

I just think you could get more for Collison. I'd like to see this trade go through.

So the Hornets would have 2 guards on their entire roster?

I do NOT like giving up Collison at this juncture, unless Ariza is really going to bring the noise

GTFO Posey!

Easily my least favorite Hornet ever. Love the trade.

He averages 16 pts a game and 5 rebounds. Better than Posey's 1-17 3 point shooting every night. I hate to lose collison. Granger and collison can do some work in Indiana

They definitely don't come out 100% on top, but its a reasonably fair trade (at this point) IMO. Who's going to play backup point now though? I feel like we're going to be in the same position we were in 07 (or 08) whenever Paul comes out of the game.

I had this same thought. Throwing in someone like TJ Ford from the Pacers that we could use as a backup PG would have made this deal much sweeter, IMO

They definitely were willing to trade pick and expiring for DC before. Hopefully them taking Posey doesn't change that much. A likely lottery pick and Ariza is good value for DC.

I think more may be involved than just the listed players.

Ariza and Posey make practically the same amount right now.
