ariza isn't versatile. he can play D (which was listed, so obviously not what i was discussing) and can shoot 3s on offense

technically... they were fricking free agent players and don't try to claim otherwise

Fine. We'll ignore that they were actually sign and trades.

So you have 2 big fish free agents. Any others in the last decade?

Evan Turner showed flashes last year of being worth that #2 selection

You trade the #10 pick for him, yesterday

i was seeing ESPN list him as more of a SG... so your answer is SF... I want some damn scorers bad.

And you definitely don't let Trevor Ariza and Al Faroq give you 2nd thoughts about it.

What does Turner do better than Ariza? I haven't watched him play much but his numbers aren't any better than Ariza's aside from FG%.

Turner only started 20 games, averaged 26 minutes a night.

Ariza averaged 33 minutes a night.

Might be why you don't see a difference.

If the Hornets are looking to trade Pick 10 for a young veteran, who are some of the potential targets?

Chad Ford (3:38 PM)

Darren Collison, Eric Bledsoe, Evan Turner I've heard a lot. Ditto for Paul Millsap of the Jazz.

I could take Collison, but it would have to involve us getting more assets back than the Pacers' pick in the 20s and him.

Bledsoe? DO NOT WANT for the 10th overall pick. The Clip Show doesn't have any picks to send back to us, nor any other assets of note.

Turner? I'd take him. Certainly more seasoned than any player we'd get at the 10.

Millsap? Only if we ship out a 4 or kick someone like Smith over to 5 full-time. Good player who would add a scoring punch for us at the 4, but I don't like taking on expiring contracts in exchange for a high draft pick.

Get Philly on the phone and pull off that Turner trade.

Between the 10 and 15, they'll have the assets to get either two good supporting players or parlay those assets into one really good player, such as flipping one pick and Iggy to the Warriors for the #7 pick.

Turner has a more advanced offensive game than Ariza. He can score from anywhere on the floor, and is capable of creating his own shot. Better ball handler too, Philly often had him playng PG. Not to mention his upside and youth its a no brainer to give up the 10th pick for him.

Collison is not worth trading the 10 unless a starter is coming with him.

Turner is the first I've heard mentioned that I'd actually consider if I were in charge, which I'm clearly not.

he was benched for George Hill during the playoffs
