D'Angelo Russell did NOT hold back on the Wolves' late turnover to Zion Williamson

Zion made a good break on the ball, was stronger once he got to it. Reminds me of when he took the ball from some dude in that Knicks game a couple years back.

This. It kind of looked like a foul bc the wolves guy had a decent grip on the ball so when Zion grabbed it he came with him for a second.

Also didn’t Nance embrace that by posting the HB dive play as a game recap

ETA: Giannis basically does the same thing as Zion but I guess his might look a little less “footballish”

Russell hasn’t been playing basketball worth a shite for the last few years so he probably shouldn’t be talking.

i was pretty surprised they didnt call the foul. not that it was a foul but they easily could have called it. willie would have challenged BUT it would have cost the dunk

Can you imagine if Zion got all the calls like these flopping arse guards who barely get bumped. He would shoot 25 free throws a game. Then people have the nerve to say he initiates the contact because he simply drives to the hole and gets hip checked and hacked the entire time, but somehow he initiates it lol

Thats some pus take right there. Zion was getting hit left and right and all props to Reid, he held his own for the most part.

Zion, if anything moves away from contact at the rim when going left so if players start to cry im just going to enjoy his style a little more.

Is he implying that steal was a foul? Because that’s absurd.

And I think most of the Wolves would claim they earned their fouls. Like Goberts last foul where he raked down on Zions arms and walked off the floor. And even Russel earlier were he raked the arms and immediately lifted his hands up. Or the pick above. These were not cheap fouls at all.

I know for sure the one on the left was not called a foul. That was the baseline dunk on or through McDaniels LINK

The NBA has been soft for a long time. Statements like this keep that truer and truer. Soft arse league.

There must be something in the water in Minnesota. They had plenty of fans on Reddit whining about refs and Zion. Between this and the NFCCG against the Saints, perpetual whining just seems to be their culture.
