This mad ants team has a good amount of quality g league players too. A few first round picks and other quality drafted players

This crap being parroted on Twitter.

If you actually watched the game a lot of those shots were contested. Hawkins looked like Kobe compared to everyone else on that floor that wasnt Walker for the other team.

His eFG% was not that bad. Also he had a greater than half court shot counted against him at the end of the third quarter. Before that last second half court shot he was 9/20 from the field and 4/10 from the three point line. He went 1/4 in the 4th.

He also had a quick 3-pt shot he heaved up at the end of the half.

If you take out the last second percentage busters out he was

10/23 from the field (43.5%) and 5/11 from the 3pt line (45.5%). That would give an eFG% of 54.3%. He also went 4/4 from the free throw line.

He’s a great natural shooter, but he should work on other parts of his game. He could be a true star.

Showed quite a bit of his bag last night. Potential is real nice as an on ball scorer.

I know that this sounds crazy, but just maybe, when deciding whether or not a guy is playing winning basketball, there's more that should go into your metric than just looking at how many points a guy scores.

Mad ants are one of the two best teams in the g league that features several NBA rotational players including 2 first round picks from this past draft. Squadrons are a middle of the pack team and losing the game isn't a reflection on Hawkins.

Be more interested in who he guarded. Getting shots up for him in the G league shouldn’t be an issue

Don’t know who he checked, but it was two rookies from his class playing the guard spots

Ben Sheppard, 2023 26th overall out of Belmont
50% FG on 10 attempts
60% 3P on 5 attempts
13 pts
3 ast
1 TOV

Isaiah Wong, 2023 55th overall out of Miami
37.5% FG on 16 attempts
14% from 3P on 7 attempts
19 pts
6 reb
9 ast
5 TOV

Jarace Walker dropped 38

Lol no one is going to analyze the metrics of a gleague game.
