Those Porters are made wrong. It's gonna take a while for me to not feel like his body is a ticking time bomb.

Geez TDJesus... Why such the hostility?
I like Hart just as much as the next guy, but a Denver trade for MPJ/Grant and whatever else u can fleece them for in exchange for Jrue and WHAT if Denver, to seal the deal, wanted Hart included?
You passing on it???

Get real. At worst you might reluctantly agree to it, bc of the affinity for Hart (dont blame you) but agree to it you shall.

I'd give them 13 before Hart

I guess I am higher on Porter than everyone else here. I think a Zion/MPJ/BI pairing would be absolute lightning in a bottle with the right coach.

I'm high on him as a player. I just expect his back or knee to break and I can't live with the constant fear of injury that him and Zion would give.

I’m high on him. I know he has his injury concerns and defense has been not great so far but I’d take him. I’m not doing any sort of deal with Denver without Porter. He has star potential

The majority of people are high on him. Every time you watch the Nuggets play its like the announcers bust out a tape recorded and play the same commentary every time. Even Joel does it. "I really like this kid. If he stays healthy he's going to be something special."

Good for him if he becomes a star, I just dont see it yet.

His Per 36 was 20/10. 42% from 3.

Small sample size, but just watching him he is legit offensively.

I think the mark on him right now is the injury history, which doesn't seem to be a concern going forward, and his comments in the playoffs, which were stupid.

Given the reputation he is amassing, probably in more ways than one...

I do like Porter and would 100% take a chance since he is the sort of asset you want in a Jrue trade. One where if it doesn't work he will retain some strong value barring catastrophic injury.

While I hope you’re right for this kid’s sake, I think it’s a little premature to say his health is no longer a concern. Greg Oden played 61 games his sophomore season. MPJ had 18 DNPs this season en route to 55 games. I’m not saying he’s Greg Oden, but we have seen chronically injured players put together a “full season” before. Doesn’t mean the health concerns are gone.

I’m rooting for him. He’s an exciting player to watch. But the injuries coupled with the attitude make him a risk. I’m good with him being Denver’s risk. Maybe in a few years I’ll look like an idiot. But if I’m David Griffin there are too many red flags to give up Jrue for him.

Would actually prefer to find another team that was super high on him and use him in a 3-way for a player with less risk, but high upside.

I'd be happy with Porter, but would prefer the feel Crewz proposed landing us Carter and #4.

Carter is the perfect 5 next to Zion and would strongly improve our defense. With #4 grab Killian or Deni.

The same Wendell Carter that has zero outside game?
So we don't want Jarrett Allen, but we are alright with Carter? We could probably get Allen from the Nets trading JJ and just a little bit more.

Also, y'all worried about MPJ's injury history, Carter has played in 87 games in two years, and has missed 59 due to injury.

and there's this:

quote:

When interviewed by the Chicago Sun-Times about talking to Head Coach Jim Boylen about the possibility of playing the power forward rather than the center position, Carter responded, “Absolutely, Coach [Jim Boylen] understands that I’m a great defender no matter who I’m guarding, but he also understands that one of the reasons we’re in the black is because of my size because I’m not as tall. I mean, I’m more mobile than most fives, so I’m able to be up, slide, all that.”

He also added, “I’ve been playing the four all of my life. .?.?. It’s definitely a conversation I’m going to bring up, for sure, but as of right now, I’m just trying to make it work with where I’m at.’’

He doesn't want to be a 5.

You don't necessarily have to chuck up a lot of threes to be a good fit next to Zion. Wendell does a lot of the little things right on both ends of the floor and I like how he projects based on his IQ and awareness. Carter would absolutely shine in the PNR with Zion being the excellent passer that WCJ is.

I don't really have a problem with Jarrett Allen the player either. The main thing that worries me about Allen is he is going to get paid after next season and I don't really want to make a sizable financial commitment to a rim runner when we are still trying to figure out the pieces around Zion. To me, it's more about how to more efficiently spend money on filling that role. Do you prefer to pay Allen slightly less than a Capella type contract to dunk and block shots or give smaller contracts to a Tristan Thompson or Hassan Whiteside and use the savings to aid in getting another creator. All that said, that's just how I would navigate our budget, but I wouldn't be disappointed bringing in Allen in the least bit.

I would say MPJ's back scares are a little different than the injuries that have forced Carter to miss the most of his games so far -- thumb surgery and a sprained ankle -- on a team having no incentive to rush guys back from injury.

Funny because I wanted Murray so bad to pair with Jrue when we had the chance to draft him. Thought it was a much better fit to have two combo type guards than to pair Heild with Jrue.

And you pretty much can’t pick Okongwu in that scenario. It has to be someone like Hayes

I’d think long and hard about taking that trade only if Hayes is there to be picked. I think that’s fair value for Jrue considering the time left on his deal. Plus we can trade Zo for other future assets. Keep building the war chest for when that superstar hits the block....

That trade is good for ya'll but no way denver gives up harris and porter jr for jrue.. They called harris the most important player outside of jamal and jokic multiple times after each game. They won't trade harris unless its for a superstar or someone is overpaying for him like crazy.
