Yes he probably is the 3rd most important player behind Murray and Jokic. If Jrue were on the team he would be 4th.. So yes it would still make sense in a trade. Yes Jrue would make them better.

I want Myles Turner. I think he’s perfect to pair with Zion.

so they'd trade the 3rd most important player who fits the teams age group for an older player who would be 4th most important? Why downgrade both age and player

He’s saying that Harris would become the fourth best player on that team is Jrue was on it too.

Yeah my bad thought that was more obvious. Jrue would be #3 and Harris #4

Also they couldn't afford all 4 so he would have to be moved in that trade.

Ahhhh I agree with that. I could see MPJ or Harris but no way both.. Just my two cents from a non pelicans fan. They aren't in desperation win now mode like some franchises they can afford to wait

They've got bird rights and harris mal and jokic so I think they have more options then what seems available. Sign and trades could happen. They've got 7 million in cap space next year and another 9 in jerami grant. if they don't take his player option they could have 18 mil in cap space to take on and barton's contract to trade

It'd be pretty hard to build a Jrue trade without Harris' salary, and the Nuggets just don't have enough compelling assets without MPJ to make the Pels consider trading Jrue to them. Harris + MPJ is the framework for any Jrue to Denver trade. I guess what you're saying is you think that means it's never going to happen, but this thread isn't based on Pels fan speculation, it's George Karl talking like he's heard something.

Supposedly, the Nuggets want Randle to replace Milsaps, especially if they can get him cheap. Is there a package where the Knicks take Harris and can balance out the money somehow? I can't imagine with the Nuggets getting both Holiday and Randle..

Yes I agree the trade mentioned would never happen but I could see MPJ Barton for jrue. Maybe throw in a mediocre pick. That’s the most realistic scenario for me. If they have to trade Harris and porter while replacing millsaps minutes with just jrue they’d be better off without the trade

Porter's health and career longevity may be no worse than Zion, if were being honest with ourselves.

Significant concern obviously but thats exactly why they would have to resign and trade Grant plus a 1st rounder at least in any deal.

The more pressing concern for me would apparently be MPJ's perception being a malcontent if he is not happy with his role on the team.

But, in order for the Pels to win a chip as a small market team, gonna have to take calculated risks and a leap of faith on certain immensely talented players with questionable and/or misperceived personality difficulties. Every championship team has one or two.

Why would the sell so low on a player with such a high ceiling on a rookie deal... if they trade MPJ the buyer will pay full price unless some shady shite goes down and MPJ demands a trade or something. Denver is a small market team too.
