He doesn’t have any options.
Clark has played at Oracle, practiced against Curry on a daily basis(Al was there, you know) and was on the floor in the Finals, played against them last year too.
He knows how to handle that environment.
If Frank would’ve gotten toasted by Curry, it could’ve wrecked his psyche for minute.
You don’t put raw rookies on Curry on the road.

I'm ok with mistakes and I'm not mad at him, that's not his role. I'm mad at the decision.

Or you have frank get in, then observe...but on this trip, if frank isn’t giving you buckets, you sit him. He’s either instant offense or he’s not worth playing right now
I don't necessarily agree. Frank needs minutes, he has upside, hes more talented than Clark all around the board. He's been playing more consistently than Clark too.

It could've, but it killed me when I saw Clark take the ball out. I would rather see Tim.

Everybody is frustrated. But even being frustrated you still could have enjoyed the game. That was a really good game. We gave them hell and came up short.
I used to love the in game threads, but they are miserable most of the time now bc nobody can enjoy just watching a game without having something to gripe about. I think you made a big deal out of nothing but I do it too I'm sure. I just need to not get in the in game threads.

Enjoyed is too much. I'm not disappointed we lost, we played a good game. But I'll never enjoy losing.
At least this game thread is longer than 4 pages. Lol

Can someone please explain to me why Gentry was sustituting Randle and Davis late in the fourth?
I didn't watch the game and only the play by plays on the box score.
Thanks

First, the main “reason” we lost other than playing Golden State isn’t fair for any team is because he never subbed out AD until about 8 minutes left in the 4th. That was his first rest of the 2nd half. AD was just too tired to fight for rebounds near the end so the Warriors kept getting second chance points after the Pels had stopped them. I get not trusting Okafor there but you really almost had to. I wonder how the game goes if AD gets those 2 minutes of rest at the start of the 4th instead.
So he subbed AD out around 8 minutes to get him about 2 minutes of rest. Then the next time AD came out late it’s because Curry accidentally kicked him in the nuts on a layup AD defended. He must have hit him in just the right spot because AD was really in pain. They called a timeout but AD needed more time to recover so they took him out until he was ready.

The reason we lost is Steph erasing a 16 pt lead by himself in a matter of 5 minutes in which he made 5 3s and a layup.

bruh 4-1 zone and just give up layups and 2 pointers and we win

Gotta try something new. But he's out there hitting with 3 guys in his face. Feel like he could drop 30 in a birdbox challenge.

yeah but let him drop 30 on 20 shots instead of 10 lol

No problem, it’s a pretty interesting situation. I don’t think I’ll be visiting Turkey anytime soon though.

At the end of the day we just don't have the personnel to match up with the Warriors. We lack an actual wing defender that can at least be average offensively to stay on the court. I mean no one really does have the personnel, but we also try to mimic a lot of their style of play and you just aren't going to beat the Warriors at their own game with a lesser roster 9 nights out of 10.
I like the fight I saw in the team though and that is something I hope carries over, but at the same time games like last night illustrate the likely limits of this roster in appealing to AD going forward.

They ran Denver out of the gym the night before. Several Pels were on fire and they played solid enough defense. It”s hard for me to imagine even having a Bradley Beal making much of a difference. If you use these Warriors as a measuring stick you’ll always be disappointed.

Exactly. When Steph can go 6/6 from three in 5 mins (with the majority of those being well contested) there's literally nothing you can do.
But if they go out there and give that kind of effort all 4 quarters the rest of the year, they can certainly go on a run.

We got the absolute best version of the Warriors last night. I swear we piss them off and wake them up by building these big leads. Those comebacks are the type of shite Curry and co. live for. It just sucks the Pels blew an absolutely incredible offensive performance against a squad that had a slightly better incredible offensive performance in a loss.

We don’t play the right kind of d to beat them. Doesn’t matter the lead, defense is shaky and gives up points at the worst time. Yes curry hit tough shots but those aren’t necessarily tough for him, need to push him off the line and absolutely never go under the pick. You have to stick with curry the entire play. I don’t get how these players fall asleep and allow him to get free.

When Steph has a night like that, no kind of D beats them. There is a reason they're a dynasty.
