Difference between a good coach and a bad coach.
One coach decides he’s going to play JV against Melli instead of Favors b/c it worked well earlier in the game. Other coach doesn’t give a shite and let’s JV abuse Melli and Zion. Then favors comes in, so good coach removes JV so now Favors is worthless out there, b/c there’s not much reason for him to be out there unless he’s banging against a big body like JV.

It's about his conditioning more than weight currently..
If he were a few pounds overweight but able to play 8-10 minutes straight, nobody would be talking about it
