Both teams have their backs against the wall. Memphis has the luxury of at least being in that 8th spot, but it could slip away easily.

So scenario question...
Say Memphis completely collapses and they finish with like the 10th seed or worse in the West, and if we are a top 9 seeded team along with maybe San Antonio and Portland (I'll just say Portland for now), does that mean us and Portland would have a play in scenario?

Yep, it doesn't matter whos 8th and 9th there will be a play in if the GB separation is 4 or under.

Honestly, sons, I’m up in this in game thread with y’all but I am taking a pretty stoic approach. Not getting my hopes up so that if we win it will be a pleasant surprise.
Hoping for Z to play a couple more minutes, but excited to see Morant. Really hoping that they’ll be on the court together at the same time. Those two are going to be something special.
