Friends, I humbly ask for your acceptance on the bandwagon

I've been a fan since the Hornets days but never read or posted much on this board. I'll admit the past year or so my fandom has been lacking, but I'm ALL IN. I know it's one game, but it's hard not to be excited about what we saw.
Plus Joel and AD are already in midseason form
Not sure if it was already posted about, but Hanagriff did an episode of the Hannycast yesterday all about the Pels and made some great points.
For the first time in forever, the offseason was a success:
- Returning head coach
- Great depth, not really missing any key positions
- Stable front office
- No looming contract situations
- No players who don't want to be here/are unhappy
- No major ******* (knock on wood.. don't want to say the word)
- Fan buy-in at peak levels
I'm also thankful for Bally Sports for allowing me to watch every game.

I embarrassingly need you all to explain "Sons" to me. Seen it for years now on the board but not sure the origin. Then I'll be set.
I have a few different Pels hats I wear up here outside of Nashville and get the strangest looks. They can't comprehend that someone out here a) likes basketball and b) likes the Pelicans

Not sure who gets credit and/or if there was more reasoning for it other than it just rhymes and fits pretty well.

No, Sons goes way back on this board to the early Hornet days.
I didn't come on this board as much back then, but I believe that it just started with a poster who used to just refer to other posters on the board that way. But I can't remember who he was.

The only time anyone hates on any new recruit is when we go on a 3 game skid and they act like the world is burning. Which, given the history, has happened quite a few times before.

Sons does come from the Hornets days back when I only use to lurk, probably around 2010 or so. Some cat would post, “oh hell yeah son. CP3 is the man of steal son” and shite like that. He was an odd dude turned to 11. The thread has been revived before for nostalgia sake but I’ve tried looking for it and can’t find it.

Yes there was a poster who would call everyone Sons and start threads with "Sons,..." etc etc
It became a meme
