Why in the hell didn't we make Zion and picks available for fricking Luka. The fricking Lakers. I hate the NBA sometimes!

Honestly, was April fools pushed up 2 months?
This makes ZERO sense.

Nicole Harrison should be fired

If tweet fails to load, click here. None of the star players even knowing about it makes it more crazy

Dallas missed a massive opportunity if this trade really happened in the shadows. They could’ve quietly shopped Luka to OKC, SA and other asset rich teams. Hell, they could’ve even gotten Lamelo back and every pick Charlotte has. The possibilities are endless with a player like Luka.
To target and limit themselves to a 33 year old injured AD and a pick that will be worthless in 4 years as your Prime Luka haul is frickin astounding. Sure, it could work out for them this season, but when you trade a Luka away, you should be trying to set yourself up for the next 10-15 years. Because if they didn’t trade him, they would’ve been setup for that long with him as their franchise player.

I can see the thought behind Kyrie and Davis IF Luka forced his way out. Going there on your own, it feels like a trade the league should veto, or at least ask if they’re sure.

I say this with zero hyperbole, the single worst trade in the history of the NBA.
Luka is a top 3-5 value in the NBA. You didn't shop him. If you did, it would have created an all time bidding way with Dallas getting the biggest return in NBA history.
Instead they got a 30+ year 2nd best player on a team, ONE single 1st, and even had to give up a 2nd of their own

Nico Harrison needs to be investigated

Over ad?
AD isn't a #1. Dallas doesn't have a #1 and likely no way to get one, so why not take Zion, Herb, and every 1st the Pels can offer?

There has to be more behind the scenes or it was collusion. Basically 2 possibilities. It’s absolutely hilarious as a Pels fan that the reports are that Luka was fat and out of shape and they didn’t trust him to pay him $350M. It’s so interesting to compare this to Zion.

I’m just going to play devils advocate but Kyrie with AD at the 4 could hypothetically work for the next couple seasons

I don't really believe it’ll work but I can acknowledge the long shot gamble. If you don’t acknowledge the long shot gamble that AD works at the 4 next to Lively and Gafford with Kyrie at point then I think the only next logical conclusion is collusion. Or a government psyop to distract us from something even crazier going on.

David Stern would have vetoed this trade, fired the GM, and had the owner sell the team. The league has been officially infiltrated. Mark Cuban only recently sold the team in 2023.

I would be fricking furious if I was a Mavs fan.
PRIME Luka for declining AD (still a top player but this is so lopsided sided)
What an absolutely crazy move by the Mavs. Is this the biggest trade in the history of the NBA. Certainly most out of the blue.
Might work short term, couple of year window for AD and Kyrie but beyond that they’ll be faceless.
Why do so many fricking teams keep bailing out the Lakers and their glory hunting, arrogant, count fans. Cannot stand that franchise.

There’s no other explanation other than straight up collusion.
If you are going to trade Luka, why are you only telling the Lakers? You can let every team know and create the biggest bidding war we’ve ever seen and get a much better package.
Investigate these fools

This trade is a disaster and he will go down as one of the worst gms ever.
This will have the added bonus of pissing off fans of other teams. NBA is a joke.
Between the big market bias, guaranteed contracts for players that rather do anything it seems other then worry about basketball, the Pels constant injuries and Griffs constant frick ups and destroying the team, I’m about to tap out.
