I'm legit speechless why would the Mavs do this? And does Lebron get traded?

Somebody has to have a gun to Nico's head(Dallas GM). This is the biggest WTF trade in NBA history.
If I’m a Dallas fan I’d be hella pissed. They made noise last year in the playoffs.

I get that star players kind of get to pick their trade destinations, but if Luka was available I feel like
OKC, Houston, SA, Cavs and many others could’ve made more compelling and valuable offers to the Mavs. I know some of these are tough due to division rivalries, but still.
It’s insane that the Lakers and other big market teams keep getting gift wrapped players despite not having a ton of draft capital at their disposal.
How do you make this trade with the Lakers and not at least get back Austin Reaves in return?
Max frickin Christie was a key component in this deal? WTF?!

Dude, my cousin is in Nola getting high and I'm getting off the sofa from watching a movie about to go to bed on the north shore.
Am I on a contact high right now?

There has to be so much more to this story. Of course it’s the fricking Lakers though. What kind of organization is going out of their way to acquire a soon to be 32 yo injury prone 5 who thinks he’s a 4. As of now it makes absolutely zero sense.

With lively and Gafford he’ll get to play the 4 lol

Yeah it sucks. They can blow every asset they have to build teams and still get bailed out with deals like these. This looks crazy to me.

I’m so sick of other teams just bailing the Lakers out every year with dog shite trades
Like genuinely wtf are the Mavs doing? Why are you even getting rid of Luka at all. Morons

I’m wondering if we can’t shake Gafford loose from them now
They have Gafford, Lively, AD and PJ Wash as quality bigs
Can we pass CJ off to these dumb fricks and get another big to pair with Missi?

Yea I don’t get this at all. I wonder how Griff still has a job and now he looks like a genius compared to whoever is running the Mavs.
Doncic is a generational player in his prime. AD will be breaking down soon.
Hell if I’m Dallas, I’d take a package of Zion and Herb before AD.

This is the dumbest thing Dallas has ever done.

That's what I was thinking. They have too much front court depth. They did get rid of kleiber so I guess it's where they were.

100%. I love Zion more than most and he’d be on a flight to Dallas right now if you told me Doncic was available. I just don’t see the upside in a 32 yo injury prone C. There’s no reason to believe he is going to suddenly sustain excellent play. His value on the Lakers was going to be DEAD in 2 seasons and they pulled Luka for him. Doesn’t seem possible.

No matter how much the Pels suck this stuff right here is why I love having a NBA team. No other sport brings this type of entertainment it's legit year round craziness. Luka must of banged the Mavs gm wife this is the only logical explanation for dude to go scorched earth like this.

I guess the NBA needs LeBron to have another championship because this really makes zero sense to me. One of the wildest trades I’ve ever seen.

I’m just going to play devils advocate but Kyrie with AD at the 4 could hypothetically work for the next couple seasons if AD is playing like the top 3 player he’s capable of being AND his body holds up. It is a wild wild gamble though.
