Fears and Queen 2nd team all rookie

Well unfortunately Derik Queen sucks and won’t have the chance to get better like other rookies can. At least that’s how it goes for anyone associated with the Pels

Honestly for the amount of minutes these two played, it would’ve been an embarrassment if they wouldn’t have made at least the 2nd team.

We’re never honest around here. We’ve been circle jerking each other every time we win 3 games in a row. This is easily in the running for the worst franchise in any of the four major sports.

You can't use the "unprotected pick" argument anymore, because we know it is the 8th pick. Only 1 player on the 1st all rookie team was picked after 4, and Queen was one of only 2 that were picked after 10.
If 2025 is re-drafted, Queen probably goes around 8, which means the final cost for him is right on the button.
We now know the value of the pick and the value of the player, and they align very well.

Queen is not guaranteed to be great, but he did things that only a select few have ever done in the NBA in his rookie year. I will give him a chance before writing him off.

Are you surprised? If somehow they make the playoffs next year, some of these bozos will cry that it is a bad thing because it would be masking just how bad our coach, GM, players, and organization really are.
I think a lot of the DQ hate comes from the fact that he was drafted after a trade most people disliked and they went all in on hating it. DQ playing well created a counterpoint to that argument, and too many people here cannot handle it when their arguments start to fall apart.

He was a rookie. I am not saying he is going to be the DPOY, but let the kid get a couple of seasons and see where he is at. AD always says during the game the hardest part for rookies to learn is defense
