3. Which team should Al Jefferson sign with this summer?

Winter: New Orleans Pelicans. Jefferson has been mislabeled a franchise cornerstone at every stop in his career thus far. With Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon aboard in New Orleans, Big Al can be the awesome third banana his game has always suggested. He's from the area, Davis could theoretically mask his defensive deficiencies and the Pelicans have the cap room to boot. Perfect fit.

Over the last few days, folks say that Al Jefferson wouldn't fit here. I agree with Winters saying that his offensive game alone would bring exactly what we need.

Has he had any issues since he obliterated his knee against us a couple of years back?

There were certainly many games where the team couldn't buy a point and a guy like Jefferson would have helped a lot. The problem is he doesn't fix defensive flaws and if we're paying say $12+ million I think you need to be a 2 way player.

What's funny is that when Noel (primarily a defensive guy) is brought up as possibly landing here, a lot of fans are quick to say that he doesn't fit well with Davis. Then you bring up Jefferson, and a lot of people are quick to say he doesn't fit well next to Davis either.

I asked this in a Noel thread, and will ask it again: What kind of Center do you think fits well next to Davis?

I know we all want a Center who is above average in offense, defense, and rebounding, but there's only one of those in the league, Dwight Howard, who's been the best Center in the league for the last 5 years for a reason.

He isn't my top target to throw all of our money at, but I wouldn't be too upset with it.

Dwight developed a post game?

No, but at 18.3 ppg in his career, he obviously puts points on the board.

Constant alley-oops and dunks are his offensive game.

Yep. A max/near max level deal for a good stats on a bad team guy is a bit much. shite, you could argue they already have that guy on the roster in Gordon.

Davis can play next to any C. Noel will fit. Jefferson will fit too.

It all counts the same, as long as it's efficient.

Jefferson is a perfect fit for this team. He isn't a good defensive player, but he has size to bang against the bigger center's in the league, allowing Davis to not get pushed around and help from the weak side.

Plus, his offensive game is a perfect compliment to Davis. Anyone who would rather Milsap doesn't really understand anything about putting a team together and fitting pieces together like a puzzle.

Jazz had a winning record last year.

Noel and Davis cancel each other out basically. Noel is just Davis with no offensive skills. Jefferson gives this team much needed post scoring.
