Agreed. Not a good move for us, plus no insurance on Love. Would have potential to be a 4 month rental.

I would decline the trade only because of Love's contract status. If Love had a few years on his deal we would be crazy not to accept. Not necessarily because it makes us a better team now, but mainly because Love is a better trade chip than Ryno and Asik combined.

Oh common people: how could this be any worse than what we have now? Asik to me has shown no consistent ability to defend the rim so like Kevin love can do any worse??? Tristan Thompson though would be the more perfect for for this team. I would love this. I'm more than sick of Asik and Anderson has been getting on my nerves bc when he can't score he can't really do anything. Yes, love is a bad defender, but if we can dump Asik( we have him for only this season) to get somebody who can help us asap I'm down for it.

Well that I can certainly see the sense in. But he doesn't, and we'd have to give him the max just to get him to consider staying here.

I wouldn't. We'd be taking out best player out of his best suited role, and would have the same exact problems with Love/Davis, as we do with Anderson/Davis defensively. Pass.

2 things:
- He wouldn't re-sign here.
- He's already having trouble blending with James/Irving. Tyreke is just as bad as the latter.
I think Love and AD work well together under the right circumstances. That's not here right now.

Are you really asking if Kevin Love would be any worse at defending the rim than Asik?? My first response is that if this deal happens, AD would most likely slide to the 5, not Love. My second response is yes, much worse.

1) He's an expiring and I think would be incredibly unlikely to sign here. He would go to LA/Big Market.
2) If he did re-sign here, we are talking Max extension.
3) The fit next to Davis is questionable at best to me, most notably on the defensive end. Love is a very poor defender, and frankly, Davis isn't the best man on man defender yet either.
4) You would have like 40 million tied up in two PFs.
Don't know about all that. Just doesn't make sense for us.
