Jake I’m on the record for hating the moves they made last year. Next years Pels team is gonna be really fun.
if we have another move, it will likely leave a solid roster
if we don't have that move, this offseason has been really bad

Don't understand the BSS guys all deciding Graham isn't a starter. We didn't give up a first round pick and sign him to that deal to bring him off the bench.
Even if we manage to turn Hart into another decent player, my guess is that its a shooter. So I don't see where we're finding another better PG option than Graham.
Guillory also had Graham penciled in as the starting PG in his article today.

My best guess is NAW is a starter along with this future mystery person. Naw has been better as a starter and Graham has been better off the bench.

I still think there's two good moves out there.
Barnes or Buddy in a trade.
a solid MLE - Forbes, Winslow, Bjelici, type.
That supporting cast compares to what has surrounded Brown and Tatum last couple years.
We need our stars and youth to take another step forward.

quote:It's one thing to deal with an agent, it's another to deal with an agent when he doesn't want his player on your team. I don't think it's emotional to let Lonzo go because you don't want him poisoning your locker room.
Red Flags should be going off right now if that's a reason to take a lesser deal to just stop dealing with an agent
I didn't mean "didn't want to deal with anymore" as in ever. I meant as in regards to the situation with Lonzo. It's not a good situation to keep him on the team if he doesn't want to be here.

Starting and bench really doesn't matter, it's the minutes. And you can bet Graham will get his full allotment of minutes and close games.
I like the idea of him coming off bench and staggering his rotation with BI and Zion.

yeah ever since i woke up this morning i've been thinking about buddy.
effort and defense is going to be crucial for Zion/BI. both need to really step up, esp if we get a guy like buddy

Talent drying up quick. Embarassing effort by Griff and the gang. Had months to prep. Created a shite load of cap space. And struck out on everyone to the point that they had to send a first out for a 6th man.

quote:Would think the "big" move will be some sort of trade lumped into the Memphis trade. There really is nothing but role players left in free agency.

I honestly think that’s the reason for the first round to the hornets. Griff wanted to KNOW that he had the deal at that price because it’s cheap enough to get another player. Even losing two days would’ve meant the market would’ve evaporated- I mean day 2 and it’s already limited.
Also this isn’t being talked about yet as to why the pick and hence expediency might’ve been important

If New Orleans can fold this into the Ball sign-and-trade or the deal agreed to last week sending Steven Adams and Eric Bledsoe to Memphis, the Pelicans could remain over their cap and have the ability to re-sign Josh Hart using Bird rights and utilize their non-taxpayer midlevel exception, giving them more spending power.

That would be great in theory but Hart can’t shoot and he’s wanted nothing to do with our organization for the past 8 months.

I think the thing Bill Simmons forgets is that players can get better.
Zion is going to go absolutely ape shite next year. I mean like 30plus 8 and 8 on 60 percent shooting.

Yeah well let's ensure TDBBL doesn't fold, then

Hart is what you send out to get back Buddy or Bogdanovic or Ingles. They paid a premium to stay above the cap to do more than resign Josh Hart.

We're soo close to being a complimentary team for Zion and BI. One more impact player that can space and possibly playmake can really change the outlook. I'm really hoping we land said player.

The Memphis deal created a lot of cap space and or space to trade additional players into.
it’s all everyone talked about for 2 weeks here. it’s what the local and National analysts touted as a key part of the trade as well.
I mean it created so much flexibility, we could’ve technically offered Cp3 or Lowry close to 40 mil a year.
Or resigned Lonzo, Hart, and still picked up a Duncan Robinson level player, and had access to the MLE.
So yeah, I consider that creating a shite load of cap space.
Yall need to stop shifting the goalposts and narrative to defend this front office. They are trash and they have proved it time and time again. For the amount of flexibility and optionality we had entering the offseason, we’ve done next to nothing with it and now we are relying on a Buddy Hield type trade (that probably won’t happen) to take this offseason from an F to a D.

Saw a report that we are one of the teams talking to Danny Green.

Graham was only a backup last year because Charlotte had Roz and Lemelo. He still played over 30 minutes a game and started 44 games. His last year (2019-20) as a starter he averaged 18ppg and 7.5apg vs 2.9 turnovers.
I think we will try starting Kira and NAW because Griff said they’re dynamic together in practice. That being said, Graham is going to start a lot and he’ll get starter minutes
