Dyson has 6 steals and 2 blocks tonight….

Downvote all you want, I would much rather have an emerging Dyson and two first round picks than Murray.

Wish we coulda figured out a way to keep Dyson and still get Murray. Like I said earlier...I'd rather have an "emerging" Dyson...than an "emerged" BI.

Suddenly...Dyson is taking 17 shots per game or so which makes his points per game a bit deceiving but still...he's playing quite well as of late.

The only Pelican with a higher FG Pct than Daniels right now is Missi.

fricking knew this dude was going to be special. When it's only in between the ears to figure you've got a shot in the league. Dyson always had natural talent and special twitch abilities. Now it's wild that's he's balling out already.

I don’t think he would have done that here. I love that hes playing well but I think he got into the perfect situation, around the perfect players and with the right coach and organization.

Honestly, he would have emerged with the injuries we had. We catered to zion, Ingram, and McCollum.

Then we needed guys to space like Murphy and jv to just be a menace.

One ball and we didn't give him the chance. Stupid on coaching but what other option is there?

Nah. He would have gotten injured himself.

Yo, wtf. I need shel in here asap to come tell me why he can’t keep doing this consistently. Damn nerd. Dyson doesn’t give a frick about your metrics.

He can't keep this up offensively consistently.

That's obvious. You'll be the last to know, but I'll remind you.

Coming into tonight's game, he's averaging 15.2 points on 15.6 shots, and this poor fella is talking up his consistency

Dyson is shooting more 2s but only slightly more efficient. He's shooting 53% from the line and his TS% is worse than last season. Assist rate also down. For this season, he is a very, very bad offensive basketball player. Very, very elite defensive player.

25 points
10-14 from field, 2-5 from 3, 3-3 from FT
4 Rebs 3 Assists
6 Steals and 2 Blocks
Tell me more about his true shooting % nerd

Can we get a real sample size before you and shel jerk off to feeling like the other is wrong?

Let's revisit this in 25 games

He is wrong. His numbers and statistics can’t take into account something very simple; that Dyson is a young player whose confidence is skyrocketing. He’s only going to get better.

To be fair these are great percentages BUT he played against the Wizards. I agree 25 games will provide a more accurate number. Defenses will also adjust to him- so lets see how he handles it.

He just had 28 on the Celtics the game before and had 16 and 18 the two previous games. It’s a true testament to how much Dyson has improved that we’re arguing over his offense meanwhile he’s had 29 steals the last 5 games and as of now is potentially the damn defensive player of the year, 1st team all defense at the least.

I’m about to go dig up some threads from just a few months ago.

I know a few posters said he’d be out the league before his 2nd contract…
