If I'm Yves and you sign that guy to start over me, thats gonna make me feel some type of way.
Then outplay him? Too bad, its a fricking business. He either outplays him or he doesn't. If he feels "some type of way" and then Ayton fricks him up then now he gets it. The only way that happens is if he outplays Ayton and we continue to start Ayton, which only happens if we are contending otherwise Missi knows he's gone next year. And if Missi is still getting the same minutes it really doesn't matter.
If we have players feeling "some type of way" because someone might be better than them then I don't want those people on this team.

Not taking a guy who is 16/10 for his career because you believe the guy on his rookie year avg 9/8 is better is wild... Btw Ayton averaged 14/10 his rookie year.
Also to your point of "stunting his growth" would it be better for his maturity to practice against Karlo every day or Deandre Ayton?

I'd take him on a 2 year deal at a reasonable price, but he's probably looking for longer than that.

I also think someone is going to pay him more money that we will be able to offer. I don't think Ayton is a realistic option

It means he'll play harder for teams who play meaningful games while he'll go through the motion on tanking teams.

That’s exactly my point. He’s still a good player but nowhere near what he once was.

Now do Jrue. I wonder if he’s in come home on a cheap deal territory yet.

Don't you dare toy with my emotions with something that glorious.

Someone will give Jrue money if he really wanted to go elsewhere (And isn't he under contract?)

I think he was saying "now they should buy out Jrue"

They’re not buying Jrue out with 3 years on his deal.

Ayton is one of those guys that looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. He’ll give you glimpses here and try ere when he has it but ultimately he’s an empty stat guy that disappears anytime he doesn’t want to work.

IOW, the kind of pouting shite Monty got tired of in Phoenix.

Now I really hope the Lakers get their wish with Ayton. What a turd.

We just traded one of the best mentors in the NBA who had almost 0 impact on our younger guys. Poole and Murray have been in the league +7 years. Herb, Trey, Zion will be +5 this season. With all of that being said I think we should 100% focus on talent/ best available and not "mentors".
I was also only talking about Missi & Queen.
I was also referring to an on-court mentor.
I really don't have much use for the locker room guy right now, kind of who they got in Looney though.
