Posting here since we have pick swap with bucks next year. Have to imagine Giannis may ask out this summer.

I wonder what they will do. Portis and KPJ have player options next year and Lopez is a FA too. Really sucks for Damian Lillard though.

What do we still have draft capital wise . . . swap rights with the bucks for the next two years and an Indiana pick next year with top 4 protections.

Maybe griff will be slightly redeemed if those bucks picks land anything worthwhile.

Never like when a guy has a career threatening injury. That being said, those puck swaps just became a whole lot more valuable.

swap right with MIL and Indy first next year
In 2027 we get the highest pick between MIL and our pick. If both picks fall in the top 4 tho we keep both

I had to look this up. I guess we traded the pick to the Hawks, but left in protections, so we get it in certain cases.

awful news for Milwaukee's future but some good news for Dame's dollar

Dame is getting paid $54M next year even if he doesn't play and has a player option for $58M the year after.

We have the 2026 swap outright.

The 2027 swap gets us the better of ours and the Bucks unless both are top 4 (slim chance).

I think there is a distinct possibility that the Bucks stretch Dame this Summer. Otherwise, they're looking at paying him $54m next year to rehab, then $58m in 26/27. That's a huge cap hit. They could stretch it over 5 years to under $23m, but it extends the suffering.

They're done. Their roster is just horrific. They got a bunch of offensive players who can't defend on top of an old core. Poor roster construction and management on their front offense.

Kevin Porter Jr, Gary Trent, Kuzma, and Dame are really puzzling for a team that was build on defense at their peak. And not to mention that coaching mess in the last couple of years.

They're not coming back from this. It's not if but when they'll implode.

My thoughts are that they trade Giannis for picks and young talent then try to bargain with us and Atlanta to get control of their own picks back OR getting Phoenix’s picks and swaps from Houston.

No.

Giannis will insist on being traded somewhere that is a contender, not to a team likely to get a top 4 pick.

Yeah they’re stuck in the mud. The best they could get was kuzma and it hasn’t gone well. They’re done.

So, give the Bucks their swaps back in order for the Pelicans to become a nonsensical version of the Nuggets?

This makes sense to you??

That trade is terrible for us. It seems like a tank trade, but we don't get any draft picks in the deal. Doesn't make sense.
