If this is legit, and I don't think it is, Zion's camp is going to be pushing for a specific destination that isn't Utah. And before you think they won't get it, KD had tons of interest around the league and 4 years on his deal and still ended up in the one spot he wanted to be.

People love to say the team can "send him wherever they want" but that's just not realistic, it's simply not how it works.

The player always has a say, and like you said, not just a say, they usually get exactly where they want.

You can say we shouldn't do that or whatever, but realistically, Zion or any good player is going to go to the team they want, that's just how it goes.

Yeah he’s not going anywhere right now. Kind of a joke this thread has lasted this long. Culotta is a joke. But I guess, so are our beat reporters

Seems the team is frustrated with both of our top 2 players and their loooooong injury rehabs

Comparing the two is kind of ridiculous. Clearly BI wants to be fully recovered before playing, which isn’t great. But Zion is in a whole different zip code when it comes to injury frequency and recovery.

Well if we do end up trading him and not getting back a king's ransom, I'm probably done with the Pels and NBA forever.

No point following a league that's stacked against you to the point you can't have any realistic hope of ever winning it all.

I think Lee Anderson responding to Griff throwing Zion under the bus publicly with some saber rattling makes a lot of sense. So it's not nothing, but it's also not what it seems to be at face value.

Honestly the Bucks got extremely lucky to land a generational talent that’s European. Giannis has never seemed like one to want to leave despite the media pressuring him for that 1-2 seasons when the Bucks couldn’t get over the hump.

Dallas is going to frick away Luka and they’re not even a small market. But those are the types of guys that small markets need. Ja isn’t going to be in Memphis forever…

I mean he "made up" a feud with Dick Vitale so he could drive his youtube broadcast numbers up, sooo... yeah, maybe.

Let’s get this out in the open. Zion has not requested a trade. Even if it was a rumor, it would have been heard by someone other than Jordy Culotta

If he was REALLY serious about it. He would have tweeted it for more engagement

This is probably more of the same passive cold-war bullshite between Griffin and Lee Anderson

For sure, but I think it points to the hatchet between Griff and Anderson not being buried as deeply as we'd like. This seems like a pretty minor thing to react too, especially when BI got the same treatment a few months ago.

A Zion trade request would be a national story. It is odd that if Jordy actually has this scoop that he just mentioned it on his internet radio show and not tweeted it out. I don't know what this is but it doesn't seem concrete yet. I sure as hell hope this is untrue. The best case for the Pels is to have Zion for the next 5 years.

Isn't that the exact issue Griff insinuated for Zion?

Why? It happened with BI, it was widely reported, so seems odd to say it's "ridiculous" when I'm pointing out something that was widely reported, not like something I'm pulling out of nowhere.

now? if you were Utah do you want the proposed above trade Kessler Sexton markkanen and the 10th pick in 23
or zion, as is?

I doubt this rumor due to the recent injury and not being ready for 5 v 5 half court practice.

well see. let him play summer league. showcase a couple 25 7 4 games in 30 minutes vs the wanna be's.
then lets discuss a haul.

The same guy who said Watson signed with the Saints?

Btw it wouldn’t shock me if Zion wants out. It seems pretty obvious at this point.

If you're using those 2 examples, you may want to reassess things.
