CP3 = a high profile coach

Need him back to lead this team.
The only thing is missing is a leader and one who can orchestrate these young guy. If you cant get a big time coach get CP3.

Naaaa not unless he comes with draft picks or young assets. Not worth the contract for on court coach
Posted on 10/3/20 at 6:45 pm to BayouRat15
Unless you are saying convince him to retire and hire him to coach immediately, which would make me laugh.
Posted on 10/3/20 at 6:58 pm to BayouRat15
Would love to have him, but he seems to be disliked by most players in the league who aren’t in his “click”
Posted on 10/3/20 at 6:59 pm to Pelliveli
None of the thunder were in his click prior to this season... get real my man. He got voted by the players to he president of the player union. You don’t get that unless the league respects you
Posted on 10/3/20 at 8:45 pm to Pelliveli
The guy, which I respect, on Locked on Pelicans Podcast says he contacted OKC people.
It would only take Jrue, Hart or NAW, and 2 laker first.
We could keep Jrue but would have to pay the Luxury tax..
I say do it

I’d love CP3 too, and to make it work financially Jrue has to go out too, but if you send out Jrue you better be getting CP3 and picks, not sending out Jrue and picks for him. That’s absurd.

He’s worth every dollar of that contract. We need him

Yall crazy... He had a bounce back year in OKC and kudos to him salvaging an ugly exit from Houston, but given his enormous contract, his offensive personality, injury history, physical decline and most importantly, his exit demand which gave rise to players now bolting the minute they feel like it.... No thanks.
OKC would expect us to give up a considerable amount of assets to get him and the opposite would be true and needed for the Pels to even entertain such a financial risk. Pels would be doing a favor for the Thunder by allowing them to get rid of a declining superstar who is overpaid in exchange for receiving assets to build for the future. Think Boston and Nets trade for Garnett/Pierce. Stupid arse trade the Nets have still not recovered from.
We good on vaginal traitors that left us for non-greener pastures. Paul doesnt deserve to finish his career with an up and coming team that he abandoned years ago. F*@$ him.

There's no way in HELL I send any draft picks for a declining superstar on the wrong side of 30. He could fall off a cliff tomorrow and we're stuck with that massive burden.

Crewz trade of the day. Gotta say, I kind of love it
quote:
Trade idea of the day ( Picks PLUS Vets edition)
Warriors Get: Jrue Holiday, M. Scott
Thunder Get: Andrew Wiggins, Z. Smith, #21, #34, #36
Sixers Get: JJ Redick, Darius MIller, E. Moore (S&T), K. Looney
Pels Get: Chris Paul, Al Horford, #2, Minny '21 1st, Sixers '24 & '26 1sts
quote:
Warriors get their big piece to take advantage of their current window
Thunder get off of CP3 and bring in Wiggins to give their young core some punch while possibly adding 3 more role players for the future in a deep draft
Sixers get off Horford, add tons of shooting
quote:
And the Pelicans achieve both goals of being competitive now while also stockpiling young players and future assets. Take Killian Hayes at 2 so CP3 can groom him and BPA at 13. Will also have at least two firsts every year for the next half decade

How do the Pels get
Cp3
Horford
1.2
Three 1sts
By trading Jrue, JJ & Etwaun

How in the world are we trading 46 mil in assets and getting back 2 players worth 70 million??
I love CP3 but frick all that. Once again OKC got plenty for CP3 and if they trade him/ his contract we better not be giving up draft picks.
We have JJ, Zo, and Miller to offer in trades worth 31 mil. We also have Melli, NAW, and Hayes that = 12 mil.
Everyone needs to be honest with themselves here. What will be more valuable for Zion/ BI in the next 3 years: Jrue, a high caliber player who can dominate on both sides of the court at his best or a lottery pick in the next 3 years that may not even contribute greatly at all or until BI or Zion are gone.
Y'all are crazy if you can't think we can get another solid player or 2 with the assets of Zo, JJ, Miller, Melli, Hayes, NAW, and firsts. This isn't including a S&T with Favors if we can.

Some of y’all are totally oblivious to what an ego manic, self serving, dirty, whiny, tattle tale player (and quality of person) Chris Paul is.
His own brother tells the media Chris never grew out of “little man syndrome”.
Rondo told him 10 years ago he’d never win a ring because he’s all about himself.
Team Rondo for life.

Jrue for #2 and future minny
Sixers are sending a couple 1sts for eating Horford contract (its a negative deal)

And yet this past season he was the complete opposite of that and was a great team player.

A decades worth of being a bitch isn’t made up for by one season.
he complained to the ref that an opposing player didn’t tuck his shirt in, resulting in techs across the league. Refs told players to thank their Union President.
He’ll always be a bitch.

And what did that accomplish?
A win for his team. I would like to see someone with that win at all costs mentality mentoring Zion and Ingram. Could you imagine the fire that he would be able to unlock in them?
CP3 and Rondo are 2 guys i would love to have on this team, and if we could get CP3 in whats basically a salary dump move for OKC, then I would do it in a heartbeat.

No, you don’t want your team to turn into whiners. There’s a reason why the Clippers were one the least like teams in the league by fans and other teams alike, a team who got into more than their share of scuffles(since the NBA doesn’t fight anymore)
Paul is a cheap shot artist to boot.
Keep that punk arse bitch away from this team. Winning with integrity and sportsmanship means something.
We don’t need him and he doesn’t fit this timeline.
And frick trading Jrue Holiday a guy who actually stuck with us, for that sellout nut punching politician.
