-CJ is the only player in the top 9 of 3pt shooting that has over 200 makes.
- he by far has the most attempts of anyone in the top 10
- We would be absolutely fricked without him this year

I think the team is better off with CJ not shooting 500 threes in a year, however someone has to shoot them. If BI,Herb, Dyson and Trey don’t get take more attempts then I have not problem with CJ doing it. He’s proven that he can make them at a nice clip. And you are correct, this team would be fricked without him.

CJ has had one of his best years ever this year. When you factor in his ability to score in isolation at all three levels, which is invaluable come playoff time, leadership and frankly his average defense, his contract is a damn bargain. Especially since shooting is often the last thing to leave a player, and so critical in today’s nba.

43% 3 point shooting is the equivalent of 63% 2 point shooting, and there’s only one guy on this team capable of that 2 point percentage.

I completely understand that. My point is if more people were taking them that are capable it would give Z more spacing to operate.

Dude completely changed his shot profile and it has changed the dynamic of this team. If we can get BI to do the same then we're cooking. Get BI to 6-7 3PAs/gm and we're an easy top 8 offense

The disrespect CJ has endured from some knuckleheads on this board is absurd. He’s not perfect and he has games where he struggles but every player does. It’s like some people here expect our players to be perfect every night and never struggle

CJ's role as the 3rd guy has really made him a much better player, and our team much better.
If we can find a way to play small ball with CJ/Herb/BI/Zion/Trey, that's a lineup that should be extremely difficult to stop, but it's been disastrous the few times it's been played this year.

We're 5th in the NBA in 3pt% but 25th in the NBA in 3pt attempts.
What'st he argument for less 3pt attempts, or the same/more 3pt attempts by worse 3pt shooters on the team?

If anyone else on the team is better, their percentage should be a lot higher if they are taking less shots, no? Since CJ, according to you, is taking too many….

We want CJ taking the same amount or more 3s, and other guys taking more.
CJ taking less would be in no way beneficial.
I think I get the point you are trying to make (others need to take more 3s), but CJ is impacting them none at all. Some guys just refuse to take more.
