Piano story, enough said

100%, no
But the numbers don't add up to the context he painted in his reporting and there is a reason no one credible in the press that have broken other stories touched it, and some, like Lopez, specifically said he could not corroborate much of the story.
I'm sure Griff and Zion had meetings. But the red flag should have immediately gone up when Clark made an assertion about what happened behind closed doors where neither of the people involved were his sources.
Clark seems to use hearsay and do a poor job vetting his sources and the result is his columns read like tabloids. Where maybe some of it is true, but likely impossible to know what, how much, and if it is being presented in accurate context.
This "story" is another perfect example, where he headlines his article Pelicans frustrated with BI's absence. Implying some unified front. Then you read the substance of the article and you get to the meat in between a bunch of editorializing which seems to use his very vague internal reporting to frame his personal editorializing like fact, where it simply states: people inside the organization are getting frustrated. Frustrated how? In what specific way? How many? Are these senior level people? Which he then uses as a springboard again to inject and further editorialize, bordering on accusing BI of being personally responsible for his injuries.

Whether or not it was something more, we as fans don't know because the team has said nothing.
Correct.

The one thing kind of on BI’s side is that the Pels notoriously understated the seriousness of Zion’s injury last year. I guess they do it for competitive advantages but it makes the player look bad.

They didn’t understate it, they said he broke his foot, which is what happened. Zion was only out as long as he was because he had setbacks and had to have a second procedure, which they also told us about.
Sure they anticipated him being able to come back, which he could have done had he not had those setbacks.

Give me the days of Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld. They would play regardless....they would not know what a toe contusion was....Unseld would just trot down the court wait for Hayes or Kupchak or whomever to give him the ball in the low post and then abuse the defender....then trot down and show up in time to get the rebound.
The point is maybe they played hurt....maybe they did not. But they were tougher

Didn't read like a "hit" piece to me. I think obviously some in the organization want to prod BI to play when he's less than 100%, like almost every player in the league does. I'm sure there is some frustration over it in the organization, given what they are paying him. I'm sure some teammates who play through sprains and pulls are frustrated as well.
I give BI some slack because big toe injuries are notoriously tricky. It may not seem like much, but it's hard to do much if you can't pivot or push off using that toe. It may be that imaging doesn't show much, but Brandon still feels it. That could well be the source of the tension, that and the fact that our stars are just sidelined so much of the season.
As for our local media being unfair to the team, that's a laugh. Our media is marshmallow soft compared to major markets. If anything they need to be a little more confrontational and aggressive.

I think BI clearly doesnt like to play unless he is absolutely 100%.
This....and one could construe this as wise but at this level the number of folks playing at 100% - even in this day and age ain't high.
And if that's what you are waiting for you're going to play less than half your games and you may be healthier for the playoffs (maybe not) but you've compromised many other things in the process like continuity and overall seeding, etc. most likely.
