This isn’t the slightest bit surprising. BI actually seems to take being an nba player seriously.

That’s fine but we still have to move off CJ if we keep BI

You don’t know ball if you haven’t recognized the improvements of Ingram over the past 2 seasons. He’s proven he can be a very effective player in play in and playoff games.
Obviously he’s not a 1 on a title team. But if Gumbo would ever suit up and play, he could be a 2 or they can both alternate being the 1’s.
The only 2 draw back on Ingram are his low 3 pt attempts and he takes double the time to heal from injuries.
But let’s be real, if Zion was only as efficient as Ingram in his injury recoveries, we make the playoffs in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
But Zion is somehow even worse at meeting rehab timelines.

Winston is a tard but CJ's contract does suck. Maybe not top 5 but it's bad.

It absolutely is not bad, CJ doesn’t have negative value like half of y’all believe he does.
If we were to trade him and take back an actual bad contract we could get 2 1sts for him guaranteed.

CJ Probably has the worst contract on our team, but I honestly think that he would have at least neutral trade value league wide bc he’s a professional scorer and a professional on and off the court.
If you timed up a trade at the trade deadline properly to a team that needed him for a stretch run, I think we could get assets for him.
This is all assuming he plays a little better next year once he heals from the injuries he was playing through.
Bottom 5 contract is crazy. If he was making 45 million plus, then it’s a conversation, but he’s making low to mid 30’s.

I don't think cj has negative value because he can get by scoring at an advanced age.

I meant on his new deal. Sorry I didn't clarify. The post I was responding too was talking about what bi would make on a new contract.
I still see the pels basically running it back with the core for this next season.

C'mon, man. I even said in my post that he hasn't peaked yet. Of course, I recognize how he's improved. I love watching him play.

No, there are other drawbacks, especially his poor defense, his tendency towards iso ball, and the weakness of his handle which can lead to turnovers.

But this is why it's very hard for us to trade BI. This I agree with:

Teammates would get over it as soon as we go above .500, aka something Ingram can’t lead this team to

Who cares?
The tight "locker room" folded completely when Zion got hurt.
I'm done with the kumbaya shite. These are professionals and maybe it would wake some of them up.

It's not an impenetrable barrier, which is why I said that it makes it "hard" to trade him, not "impossible."
Our team lacks leadership. CJ is one kind of leader, and BI is another.
The flip side of that is that Scoot seems to have natural leadership qualities.
