Would you trade our lakers pick and Jrue for the Grizzlies pick?

No. MAYBE Lonzo, but not Jrue.

I think the team as constructed (plus whatever we add via the draft and/or trades) will be a playoff contender and maybe better than the 17/18 team. I could see 45-50 wins with injury luck.

I think right now we’re better than we were last year by a lot.

AD, for as good as he is at putting up stats, never seemed to translate to wins while he was here. I was ready to move on and am glad we did.

Don't you see how exciting the offseason is every year for teams like the Knicks??

We could totally be them and have the excitement of where our lottery pick will end up every season

Why have a winning team when you can have that!!??

Which brings up a related question... how do the playoffs shake out in the west this year between injuries and player movement this offseason?

About the only teams I would completely write off are Memphis and Phoenix, though Minny is probably a third given their roster shite show outside of KAT.

4. New Orleans acquires LaVine, No. 7 pick from Chicago

Pelicans get: Zach LaVine, No. 7 pick in 2019 draft
Bulls get: Brandon Ingram, Solomon Hill

I like this one the best, but one of the Chicago newspaper thought it would be

Zach LaVine & #7 for L Ball & #4

I don’t know what people don’t understand about this. Griffin has stated multiple times that Jrue is their leader and defines the culture they want to build and is completely bought in. You trade him now all of that gets derailed. He’s not being dealt in any capacity.

I love this mentality.

We haven't had one since Peja. Need to make up for the lost years, imo.

Why would you trade Jrue and not Ball in that scenario? I don't see Ball/Morant working.

Which is why I am not writing them off completely but they also have a star who just broke his hand in a street fight in Lithuania.

They have potential but whether they realize it is questionable.

Absolutely love this if you can do a sign and trade with him to ensure he stays

Dump Solo's contract.

None of that is happening. That was a really bad "article".

Those all suck, the only one that actually makes sense for both sides is Pheonix and Memphis

I would not be interested in Beal if it meant giving up Ingram and the number 4 pick. Especially if we only get Beal in return. Great ball player. Not a great trade for the Pelicans

If the Pels trade for Beal, they'll trade Holiday (in my opinion).

I think Beal and Holiday are redundant. Both are expensive combo guards. If you notice, none of the players overlap in the Beal and Holiday scenarios. I would make both trades.

If Pels trade #4 to Wizards, White may be who they are targeting with pick.

Hell to the hell no. Its not the worst trade ever but we need some veterans. A rebuild is nice but you dont want the entire team to be 22 year olds.

The only trade I would want from Chi would be for Markkanen. I’m not trading the #4 for a super sub. It has to be a starter, and Markkanen would actually be pretty perfect.
