This is of course assuming he demands a trade at some point:

Downvote me to Hell if you wish, but I’d rather have something else to read and discuss other than the Pels handling of Zion’s hamstring issue.

The Pelicans could easily be bumped down a tier (or three) if Zion Williamson has another season ruined by injuries. However, if Williamson can stay healthy next season, he's still a very desirable teammate for Doncic. The Pelicans can build a compelling offer around either players (Brandon Ingram, Trey Murphy, Dyson Daniels, Herb Jones) or picks (all of their own, two from the Bucks, one from the Lakers) without sacrificing the flexibility needed to actually put a winning team around that duo. New Orleans still hasn't seen their healthy roster over a reliable sample, so for all we know, the Pelicans contend next season and decide to keep their roster intact. But very few teams have both the assets to get Doncic and the starpower to keep him. The Pelicans might be one of them.

There's two people in the NBA who constantly get shite on about their weight and it would be high comedy for the Pelicans to gather both of them.
If both were healthy that'd be an amazing duo to watch.

You are more likely to see a Luka - Zion trade vs getting BI, Trey murphy AND Herb Jones out of the Pels.

Thats too much.
BUT, lets play the hypothetical. There wouldnt be another duo as dominant as them for the next 6-7 years if we pretend they stayed healthy. We would be a top 5 team every year IF HEALTHY as long as we surrounded them with defense and one elite shooter because we know Luka and Zion wouldnt carry shite defensively.

You don't think Luka, BI, TMIII, and Herb would be a top 5 each year either?
Hell, the team as constructed healthy is certainly a top 5 team.
Pels are an athletic big away from being elite without Zion.

No way in hell they are getting Trey and BI. frick that.

Send them every pick we have for 3 years + CJ or Dyson, or Zion straight up.
BI, Trey, and Herb are untouchable at this point.

Yeah. I’d rather have Trey. I’d send the BI with a couple picks. If you twist my arm I’d throw in JV.

For all we know at this point, Luka is Harden 2.0. An absolute weapon on offense and a cancer on defense.

I’ve seen Luka play some defense. He is selective about it and he has slow feet, but he can do it at times. He also cleans the glass which is defense in a sense. Ending a defensive possession and starting your own offensive possession. He’s a comfortably better defensive rebounder than Zion for reference.

They’re suggesting trading some of the few things that have been positive, to pair him with our less than 30 games played a season negative?!?
frick that. Trade Zion for Luka and throw in some protected picks to maintain our defensive duo and 3point sniper/should have been dunk champion.
Our Championship window timeline is too short for “2 week “ evaluations for the next five years.

Whether it's Zion or BI/Trey, you trade it for Luka.

They can have Zion for Luka

Big splash that has an upside.
People of Dallas need a white hope tho.

Both living in New Orleans, with great food and terrible training staff. What could go wrong?
