The best player on team right now David should give him permission to dominate not Jrue

Trade Jrue
Trade Lonzo
Extend BI

Build around Zion-Ingram-NAW-Hayes, Lakers draft loot, and any bounty from the above. Championship in 5 years. Do the smart thing and play the long game Pels.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the deadline to extend BI passed, meaning we can only match whatever he gets in restricted free agency

He’ll likely sign a one year deal, hope he isn’t trying to bolt

We can sign him to a contract in the offseason, if I believe I think we can give him a little more than we could have this offseason also

?

He’s not signing the QO. He will get a long term max from us.

He will definitely get the max unless major injury

Ball is looking improved I don’t think you trade him.

Can we afford this contract without dumping off contracts?

I guess I’ll reserve judgement on Lonzo til Zion gets back. I do think they will mesh well.

Hate to say it, but Jrue is the odd man out, for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that he simply holds the most value as far as Pels assets and his peak just does not match up with this team’s peak....which is a several-year build

We have his bird rights so we can exceed the cap to sign him.

Ball just needs to get more aggressive on both ends. There are times that he seems disinterested or disconnected.

Ball is showing serious potential. He’s doing a lot better offensively than anyone could have imagined. His ceiling as an offensive player is higher than we thought.

There's still some cause for concern with me, but he's looking better than most are giving him credit for.

He's averaging 15/8/6 per 36, and he's increased his TS% from .487 last season to .555 now. My concern is sample size and if he can keep that up. The shots are falling at a decent clip, and while it may look better than previously, i still don't think it looks pretty. Hopefully I'm wrong though, and this shooting is more of the new normal.

Ingram didn't need permission like Jrue did. Ingram is dominant on his own volition.

NAW and Hayes haven't shown themselves as "build around" material just yet. What you're talking about is almost a hard rebuild. Trading those other players should be options, but only if it doesn't set the team back.

Rewatching the Nets game I saw something mildly concerning on Ball. Before the odd stumbles that took him out of the game, he got ahead for a breakaway dunk. The replay clearly showed that he was in discomfort on landing and watching it a few more times he looked like he may have been tentative about even elevating for the slam.

Are we sure he’s not having ongoing issues with his lower leg from last year?

exactly Ingram has the alpha dog mentality. He just needs to hone in on playing a bit more team ball (which he has) and not get too much tunnel vision. He and Zion are the definite future

That's for the early extension. We can still offer him a max right out of the gate in free agency. The qualifying offer ($9.5M) allows us to match. He could always play out the QO and leave, but that's giving away a lot of money right up front.
