Ingram is not resigning here because of Herb, Trey and Zion. Nothing more, nothing less. There’s no longer a starting role for him here. If that were not the case, we certainly would have paid him a lot to stay. The team loves him.

understand, if the market forces BI to sign for 30 a year, you think he rather do it in a destination city or a city like Nola?

I know the trade deadline has had a lot of movement, but which destination city has the cap room?

The nets maybe. Or it’s been reported he likes Toronto. I’m sure he will be more open to signing with them for a cheaper amount. I’m pretty sure he will regret not taking those extensions offered. He screwed up like Boogie before him.

Not to hate but New Orleans is at the very bottom of places players want to play.

He’s a ball stopper. He’s always hurt. He’s anti clutch. He can’t get to the line. He’s mediocre at best defensively.

I don’t want to pay $20 million for that.

If he could magically get healthy, shoot more 3s, stop shooting baseline fadeaway, sure but he can’t and he won’t.

Griff doesn't know how to capitalize on assets like the Thunder's GM do. Thats why the Thunder have Shai for George and five first round picks. While we didn't end up with the #2 pick for ingram

Presti is a stud for a lot of reasons, but that trade was more luck than skill. The only reason he got that return is because Kawhi said he was signing with the Lakers unless the Clippers got PG. PG had 2 years left on his deal, but wanted to go to LA and told OKC he would request a trade that summer regardless.

A more comparable situation to be BI would be the Harden deal.

Everyone is in Willie's offense.

Can't argue that one, but he at least played when it matter in the playoffs unlike Zion.

He can’t get to the line

It sure as shite isnt' b/c of a lack of trying. He does not get the calls most guys get.

Just a blatant bias lie.

shoot more 3s,

he did this year.

stop shooting baseline fadeaway,

He was hitting that shot at 71% this year. 56% last year. When he gets it with time with the right matchup, it's an impossible shot to stop.

You can hate on BI all you want, and he's not always the most efficient guy every game, but when BI is on, we win games easily. And even when he isn't on, he plays a role on this team that makes life easier for CJ and Trey by being the focus of the defense's attention. No he's not a #1 guy on a good team. But he can be the #2 guy on a good team, especially when the #3 and #4 guys are really good like Trey/CJ/Murray.

I would have rather kept him into the offseason then trade him for first that is unlikely to amount to anything.
We just lost a guy who averages 24/5/5 for basically nothing, and most of you are rejoicing.

It's as much skill as it is luck. The Clippers didn't want to include SGA but Presti wouldn't make a deal without him being included.

I wouldn't mind facilitating in the Hawks-Cavs deal

Hawks get Bruce Brown, Caris LeVert, and Isaac Okoro
Cavs get De'Andre Hunter
Pels get Clint Capela and maybe someone like Vit Krejci (we could use another guard)

There would be a couple of 2nds, at least, tossed our way as well

Thoughts?

The revisionist memories are going to be interesting in the next year or so.
