Feel like if he really believed that he would've spent time on it. They talked about it less than Rui Hachimura. It was definitely in the pod title just to get more downloads.

I’m sure the Pels have asked around and have some good offers on the table. That’s probably where this is coming from.

They spent 10-15 mins on Zion in this Pod. It wasn’t just that short sound bite.

With Zion you’re gambling that he can stay healthy. Trading him for a draft pick you’re gambling that the player you select can also stay healthy AND replace the productivity you’ll be losing when Zion is healthy.

I’d prefer to gamble that Zion can stay healthy vs a draft pick being a star

Most of the Zion trade talk was actually talking about Jaylen Brown

I know you'll get a lot of people who disagrees with what you say but star players should dominate the G league. Look at Jalen Green. Dude absolutely dominated the G League and we're 2 years in and I don't see him ever being more than an all star level player.

Zion came into the league and dominated NBA players and now defenses are defending him with the "Zion Zone" in the regular season. That's pretty special.

That's worth holding on to for me.

But, if I recall Russillo didn't even respond to it, there was no back and forth.

Simmons said it in passing, and it was more like what his source thinks will happen and less so his source actually giving him a scoop on record, if you will.

Givony and Zach Lowe said they're hearing the Pels will not make Zion available.

But flip side, stein says he is, I believe.

I honestly don’t know what to believe

If they are looking to trade him, it is wise to at least try to make it seem like you're reluctant to do so.

At this point just how would you do this?

You leak false info to insiders. Not too complicated.

I believe that Charlotte benefits from having teams that really want #2 to put their best offers on the table.

I believe that Zion and the team benefits from the conversation changing from Thots to "Zion is so good at basketball we need to trade him out of New Orleans."

I believe when Zion doesn't get traded, the conversation, if New Orleans and Zion are still being talked about, will shift to the Pels thought Zion was worth more than the #2 pick.

That's how you do damage control for ThotGate.

Weird response.

Perhaps the joke didn't work. I was trying to mock those who say it's OK if we don't try to win a title by comparing such views to the trend in kids sports to remove competition, give every kid a trophy, don't keep score, etc.

If you aren't focused on winning a title and you're male, then you need some Nugenix Total-T. Listen to Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie and take action to restore your manhood.

I wouldn’t mind that if he went to the East…

This is caveman BS. Owners are focussed on their bank account. Of course I want my team to win a title. Of course players want to win a title. Michael Jordan was the most competitive bastard in the world as a player but didn’t give a crap about titles as an owner. “Winning” for him was about improving his teams value which he did selling it for 10x what he payed. This is a business. And throwing away money is bad for business.

Scoot literally has better stats than jalen … so what’s your point ? Plus scoot dominates the game in many more areas then Jalen has even been capable in any league

LOL. Jordan just sucked as an owner. It's just not something that he was good at. Every NBA team is now worth 10 times what it was then.
