I really thought this was the obvious return date with 3 games left in the season and it’s been exactly 3 weeks since the injury. If he isn’t playing Thursday he won’t play Friday so the last chance before the playoffs is Sunday against the Lakers. Maybe he comes back for that last game but if we somehow can get the 6 seed and hold it then you really hope he’s ready to go for the playoffs with an extra week to rest.

At this point if he's not ready for Sacramento or the GSW, I don't think we see him until the postseason.

Maybe they just don't want to play him b2b.

They will probably bring him back on 2nd night of b2b

Yeah this seems like the obvious spot for his return. Maybe his fresh legs give us a boost on a segababa and we can win the next 2 and put pressure on the suns as much as possible.

There is never an “obvious” return date with BI.

Ever since a shoulder injury, that resulted in him lifting weights differently and caused a blood clotting issue that nearly ended his career, he’s been extremely careful with rehabs and return to play dates. It all stems back to the blood clotting issue and not wanting to experience a similar issue while he’s overcompensating for an injury.

Our players inability to play through any amount of pain, even if only for a fraction of their usual game time, is pathetic. He neither broke nor tore anything. Yet more than 2 weeks later, he can't go for even 15 minutes when the playoffs are on the line.

BI is on a pretty standard timeline for this injury, he hasn't taken longer than expected as of right now.

He may but it's way too early to call out BI right now.

While it would be really awesome if he was able to play tonight, it's not necessary.
The Kings have a very hard time stopping Zion. Our offense revoloves around him against them, so having CJ/Trey/Herb around Zion is what we want.
ANd the last time we played the Kings was the first time we really saw Zion gaurd an opposing big. He only did it a handful of times, but i thought it worked really well. I expect to see a lot of small ball lineups tonight with Z guarding Sabonis, b/c Sabonis cannot stop Zion and when they put Barnes on Zion it's even worse.
The Kings have been bad on offense without Huerter and Monk. Their defense has actually been elite since the all-star break. Play good D and let Zion control this game and we'll be alright.

I don't think BI is playing tomorrow either.

I think the only possible way he'd play against the Lakers on Sunday is if we absolutely have to win that game to stay out the play-in game, and even then he'd probably still sit that one out and come back for the play-in game.
If we beat the Kings and Warriors, and the Suns lose to the Kings, then we locked up the 6 seed. If it's locked up, then no one is playing that last game, and then we have a full week off before the playoffs start.

Also CJ loves playing against Sacramento Kings. I remember the last postgame interview where he said they promised they were going to draft him. So he likes playing there and against them.

Last game no Zion
CJ scored 30 on 7-10 from 3
BI only had 15
5 other guys were in double figures
we shot 19-35 from 3 and beat them by 33 on the road.
Fox scored 3 points.

Game before that Zion just scored 10
BI had 30, Herb had 23, CJ 17, Trey 16
We shot 14-31 from 3 and won by 10 on the road.
Fox had 30.

Game before that was no CJ
Zion had 25, BI had 23
Only shot 7-30 from 3 and we won by 5 at home.
Fox had 26

Game before that was no CJ
Zion had 26, BI had 31
12-28 from 3 and we won by 36 at home.
Fox had 26

In the 4 games we've played them they are 55-175 from 3 for 31%. We are 52-124 for 42%.

We've out rebounded them 196 to 137.

I think the extra game was the in season tournament if I’m not mistaken.

Yes we are playing them 5 times.
The Kings actually play us and the Suns 5 times this year.

Needs to sue the NBA for making him vaccinate. Kyrie knew what was up. I bet the earth is actually flat too.
