“Basketball talk”

Tatum is a 4 in the modern NBA

Playmaking PG, doesn’t have to be an elite defender
3 and D player at 3
Rebounding big with a high motor. Doesn’t have to be a true center. Don’t want a plodder. And don’t want to pay much for this position

Focus on athleticism first, not size. In this NBA you can spread the ball enough to negate size

What’s “bombing early” for them? ECF? EC semis?

If they lose in the first round to some of the bad East teams who will make it, I would push for relegation to the WNBA.

Tatum, Jrue, Mirotic, Elfrid and Boogie Cousins gonna wreck shop next year.

I’m talking out of my arse and haven’t looked up anything to see if even remotely possible but I keep having a feeling Boogie comes back.

Don't agree on Tatum. He is a bonafide 25ppg scorer with enough usage. Would just want to stay on him about his shot selection to keep the efficiency up. He is long enough to get his shot off against anyone, but let to his own devices, he takes a lot of long 2s. With good coaching, he can lose that habit and be more like Pierce and less like Carmelo.

I really want a leader. Someone who calls out their team mates if they are playing wrong. I wish we still had Rondo/Cousins.

Smart can be that voice, and Tatum seems to be versatile to play 1-4 depending on matchups.

I like the Smart, Jrue, Tatum, Niko, JO lineup, but do believe we need to mix in another solid SF or PF vet if Frank gets more minutes.

Crowder would be great, knows those guys, but I think MM said that would be a swap for niko.

No way to get Beal. So do we try to slowly build through draft and youth. Dell already tried theugh free agents and trade away future approach. I also don’t think Dell makes the picks. I think he is a gone pecan.

I don’t know what that stat means but it obviously makes Zion look great. Who are some of the guys that have had higher numbers, not just #1 picks so I can see if this is just cherry picking or legit.
