He will get max next year if he is 100% during late spring and playoffs.

More to come. Does gsw offer cousins?

Does Klay join LeBron in Los Angeles?
Does green get dealt so cousins can stay with warriors?
Green wants max next deal.
Klay wants 188.
And iggy is getting 16, 17 18.
He's not going to be worth 18 by then..
Livingston is at 14.

Celtics shall rule in the sweet by and by.

If he’s back 100%, they’d have to renounce Klay and trade both Green and Iguodala in order to sign him. They aren’t that stupid, Green by himself, is a better fit for them than Cousins, much less losing Klay and Iggy on top of Green.

The problem there is that he basically pissed away all the work he had done improving his image and then some. He was seen as a risky investment because of extreme immaturity before joining the Pelicans. He kind of turned that around, then pulled this shite and showed himself as far more immature than everyone thought. I just don't see many teams lining up to pay that dumbass the max.

I honestly don't think there will be a bunch of teams beating down the door to give Cousins a max deal next off season, regardless of how well his stint in GS might go.

Teams were already hesitant pre-injury. Now with his injury, attitude, body-type/position, I don't think 30 inconsequential games in Golden State are gonna change as many minds as some people think.

Especially given that it's usually year two before you're close to what you were. How are teams supposed to judge him playing less than half a season in a limited role for GS? I think best case he gets another 1 year deal from someone for $10-$15M with an expanded role. If he plays well then for a full season then maybe he can cash in.

You guys are too optimistic. I think that there is zero chance that boogie returns. Now if the pelicans have a monster season, I might change my mind. But I think that boogie goes to the highest bidder with the best chance of winning it all. That's if he ever regains his old form.

The majority of this thread is from November 2017. Nobody wants Boogie back on this team

Davis on ESPN, asked whether the Pelicans checked with him on their handling of Cousins:

"They did. There’s a lot of different stories out there, but for me, there’s nothing we can do about it now. I just move forward and try to worry about the team that we have now. You can’t dwell on whether they should’ve came back or Rondo, whoever it is. You’ve just got to move forward with the team I have now and try to find a way to make the playoffs as well and make some noise. Of course it was tough, but at the same time, I’m past it. Like I said, there’s nothing we can do about it. The team kept me in the loop. Whatever happened on their end happened on both sides. And now we’re here. So, like I said, we just have to move forward and try to figure out how we can be successful with the team we’ve got now."
