I think it makes a lot of sense honestly, Nike creatives design the city/alt uniforms, this RARE company made the regular jerseys.

And pretty much all the RARE designs on the clip in the article look generic and/or forgettable. Toyota Camry design principles IMO.

Hate that we are going back to them for the redesign.

The polarization around even slightly bolder designs is a perfect reason why the natural gravity of jersey designs keeps getting pushed toward generic and forgettable.


Better to offend the least amount of people the least amount then deeply put off 25-35% of people with bolder design choices that may actually endear a smaller, hardcore following and create an identity.

Feel like most of the iconic designs of teams 30 years ago would never make it through the filtering process in major design houses today.

The flag uniforms are a good idea done poorly.

Here is why.

1. The blue at bottom of the jersey gets tucked into the shorts. So you have a tiny bit of red as the top and a tiny bit of
Blue at the bottom

2. The numbers are in a terrible fricking don’t. What is that?

3: our flag isn’t horizontal stripes. That’s a Dutch flag

I think it's unrealistic to expect a color change. Gayle would have changed the colors by now. But I do think we'll get some better jersey's eventually.

At most, you might see some different shades of blue and gold and maybe the red like on the flag ones. But most likely not. If we just used the stripes city edition our main and made a blue and red version of them I'd be happy.

I know our Red jersey is pretty well liked, but it’s freaking bland IMO. The navy blue also sucks as stated. The new “NOLA” white is a top tier NBA jersey
