The more I think about it, the more I believe that if Demps is the one pulling the trigger, he’s going to trade Davis to The Lakers because he loves B/C level players. If he gets back Kazma, Ingram, Zubac, and probably Ball, + a pick, he’s going to go for quantity over quality. It’s such a Demps thing to do.

CP3 trade 2.0, with no David Stern to save us. You are correct sir.

The biggest problem with a Davis to Lakers trade is Kuzma's hip right now. It's slowly getting worse, and he could be headed to an I. Thomas esque surgery to get it repaired. Kuzma is far and above the centerpiece of any AD to Lakers deal.

I can't deal with another CP3 situation, I'm probably done with Pelicans basketball

I've talked about this before. It may not be the lakers but he has been wanting to play on the west coast. He has already moved the mother of his child to Los Angeles over a year ago

If we trade AD to the Lakers I'm done with the NBA. None of them are anything special, then you have to deal with Ball's dad. Kuzma is ok but he seems like a tad better version of Mirotic. I'd rather jus resign him if he wants to stay. Not to mention Lebron is old, has tons of playoff mileage on him. He's breaking down now and will be even more so in the next few years. AD would be an idiot to hitch his wagon to him. Kinda like Kobes last few years in LaLa land...

Yep, just like every major move this franchise has made for 5 years, Demps needs to be fired before getting a chance to royally frick it up.

It just blows that we can’t keep good players here. And I don’t even think it’s our fault. Pels were good as hell last year, a conference finals level team that had to play the freaking Warriors 2nd round. The super teams in the league are ruining the NBA and this is another sign that the league needs to change. Consolidation of talent in the large markets just makes the league boring and suck for most of the cities who can’t compete even when they get some good talent like us.

Boogie screwed us a bit and then even though we still have a solid team that’s good if they could stay healthy, he still jumps ship after a lackluster half a year. That’s not cool and not fair to the organization imo that has legit done everything in its power to keep him.

And AD why can’t he stay healthy, attract stars here help keep Boogie and Rondo here? Some of that is on him and some of that is on the league for just making large markets too attractive. Not to say it’s all on AD to fix everything I get it. But it would be nice and would have helped.

Seems blatantly obvious that's what they would need to start with. Hope that's not what Dell is demanding just a few hours after the demand. If so, he might be gone before the end of the day.

Aww of that is still not good enough. Besides Kuzma, nobody else is really an asset but an overrated piece. We can do so much better.

Has AD played his last game for the Pels, even if he's not traded before the deadline?

They are all young and on rookie deals. Zubac and Kuzma are really good complimentary pieces, but I agree we can do much better.

Two complimentary pieces, an inefficient ball-stopping iso-scorer and a mid first is not even close to good enough value for a top 5 player in the league.

The Lakers could offer Ball, Ingram, Kuz, Zubac, Kcp who is expiring contract and take Ad and Hill. If they trade LA this is what I would demand.

He's under contrac for 1.5 years. WAit for a good deal. Unlike the Wolves, if he poisons the team that's good because better draft odds.

This is what I would demand, plus their first.

Of course that would never happen, plus we'd have to cut like 3 guys to make that work, but you gotta set the bar higher than just Ball, Ingram and Kuz right?

He's not going to the Lakers. You guys are wasting your time.

Sixers, Celtics, or Knicks are the only three ways this plays out.

This plus the SAC, LAC, and MEM firsts would be what it takes.

Hayward (worst contract in the NBA possibly) and their 2nd tier rookie contract guy? Jesus christ.

Doesnt Clutch represent Simmons also? Doesnt that make it harder to trade for him?

Pels haven't helped themselves although they tried last year with the Cousins deal but they ended up being better with Cousins out of the lineup.

NBA is still a joke.

Paul and Davis were always hurt.

Hopefully the best deal means the worst team for Davis at least until he hits free agency.
