Lue and Kidd would both be very disappointing hires. Hope they are not seriously the favourites.

Jason Kidd is a fricking woman beater.
There is absolutely no chance in heaven hell or earth that Gayle benson hires him as head coach, or portacan janitor

And yeah, griff immediately rang up NBA media dudes after he fired Gentry and told them he was considering Kidd and lue...that’s coming from their agents.

y’all know better than this by now.

I know we hated on Al a lot but he’s a great dude and it must have sucked to have had to fire him.

I mean based on the results we absolutely had to but ya know. Makes it harder

I don’t post here often, but I’d be happy with a coach that’s a complete bag of dicks if this team starts running roughshod thru the nba. There is no reason why basketball can’t be successful in New Orleans. We just have to change the culture like we did with the Saints.

Not sure if I heard it from Nate Duncan’s podcast or KOC from the Ringer podcast but they were talking about how D’Antoni has a connection to Griffin via the 7 seconds or less suns. Maybe he’s a possibility if the Rockets move on from him after a disappointing playoff run

After all, he worked wonders with a young Amare Stoudemire, maybe he could do the same for Zion

D’Antoni is 70 years old. By the time he retires Zion will still be on his rookie contract

griffin and dantoni have a history
the pels already run dantoni’s system and finch is here to help
Jeff B is already here
rockets are done with him for whatever reason

I think it’s more likely than not

One thing that makes him an attractive option is his ability to compete and develop at the same time. He’s basically the only option out there that’s proven to have done this on more than one occasion.

because then we’re gonna look for another coach in 4-5 years even if we have success with D’Antoni.

Yes and half of them were always hurt going up against the KD/Steph/Klay Warriors.

How can you possibly knock a guy for that?

Cool since you’re using injuries as an excuse then we’re going wipe away that ‘16 Title from Durant-less Warriors?

Lue has done nothing to stand on his own.

I didn’t read the four pages but I would take Lue and Kidd with a grain of salt, at least right now. They may very well be two guys that we look at but their names aren’t coming from the Pels right now.

.......... what

Durant was not injured that year. He played for the team that the Warriors beat to get to the finals.
