This is the perfect time and excuse to give the other veteran (Eric Bledsoe) a "rest".
Give the young guys (or Vets playing to try and make a roster next year) all the minutes:

Kind of want Bledsoe to play so teams can see he can still play (hopefully). So it would be easier to trade him. Plus he is the tank commander

That ship sailed a looooong time ago. I don’t think any GM is stupid enough to fall for him still having value at this point in the season.
Even if he just didn’t care that much and didn’t want to be here, there is no way we could facilitate a somewhat even trade to another contending team next year.
The only thing we can really do with him now is to use his salary as filler to facilitate a trade for someone useful, and we would have to attach picks to do so.

So Monday might have been the last time we see Lonzo in a Pelicans uniform. I doubt they bother playing him the last 2 games with us out of the playoffs now. The best thing that can happen now is Bledsoe averages 30/10 the last 3 and some team actually trades for him.

Trying to find a list of veteran coaches that were fired after just one year. Hard to find a list but I doubt it's a long list. He's not getting fired, you might as well put that out of your head.
