Hadn't seen this posted yet. Doesn't surprise me, really. I'm not sad to see him or his attitude go, I just wish we had gotten something in return.

I think the locker room chemistry will be fantastic this year. You have a bunch of likeable dudes who all get along and want to go out and compete together. I think Randle will add to that. They'll miss Rondo for sure, but AD/Jrue/Niko seem to genuinely like each other.

I think having a big-bodied guy like Randle down low helps. He can guard some of the bigger centers during the regular season and take some of the wear and tear off of AD.

Jrue, Rondo, and AD himself have talked about him taking over more of a leadership role. He's young so it's new to him, but there have also been reports this offseason of the Pelicans front office running every decision by him.
AD is slowly but surely taking over this franchise. As he should. He's young so to expect it any sooner than this would be kinda foolish.

I think AD did that because he is a genuinely good guy. Demarcus seems like a drama queen, so I'm not surprised that the locker room was better without him.
