Who do I trust, Joel Meyers or this guy I’ve never heard of?

Me too. This dude probably secretly getting paid to put outnumbered bullshite in hopes of AD leaving for a large market.

Same with the Butler and Irving shite. They got Lebron to LA now they wanna get NY back competing.

This is what we call “tweet bait”

This dude has no sources and is a blow hard

That is Grubb. He is a nobody with no sources. He consistently posts negative tweets looking for attention and tends to live off of retweets and likes of Fletcher and Oleh. I think the guy has less than 1000 followers.

L.A. and N.Y. trying to stir shite. They can frick off. AD can make up his own mind. He can stay in N.O. and be the cornerstone of his own team, or go somewhere else and glom on with LeBron or whomever. The "national media" are actually east and west coast homers. Screw them.

It never stops. It’s always AD needs to leave or some possible AD trade brought up. Always.

I’m frickin tired of it.

Be prepared of more of this LINK all year. Everyone outside of Pels fans has an obsession with him leaving.

And players don't text each other about their lives and free agency plans etc?

I have a hard time thinking teammates who have become good friends don't text or contact each other about such matters.

It's possible Rondo could be back the season after anyway I suppose

This would seem to contradict what Joel Meyers has said about AD being consulted and heavily involved in all moves.

Maybe but not necessarily a contradiction. AD may have been involved in decision to offer Rondo up to the full MLE, but when Rondo was offered more + Lebron there was no more the Pels could do, hence no further discussion.

Not saying that is how it went down, but that's one way both stories can still be correct.

If that's true then why would AD be upset? If they called up Rondo and offered the full MLE and he said "sorry I'm signing with the Lakers for more" then there really isn't anything to discuss with AD.

The signing of Elfrid and Rondo to the Lakers were some of the first dominos to fall. I believe Joel on this one before “AD is upset” clickbait. Joel does not give the scoop on the Pelicans very freely. If he talks, I’m listening.

I mean I get him being upset that Rondo left. However being upset WITH THE ORGANIZATION is different. You can be sad a guy you liked left but also realize the org did all they could to keep him.

That’s a really good point. This could be shifting narrative to make it juicy. Of course AD would rather have Rondo here.

Solid post.

Pretty sure that is the case here

AD is out there recruiting Randle hard, he has to know the team’s cap situation and can’t have both

@DMGrubb: As I confer with other members of the media, I do stand by what I said but it appears to be an initial reaction and that discussions have been had between Davis and the team to put him at ease. Thank you to those individuals who chose to reach out rather than take shots.

The only way to put Davis at ease would have been to explain Rondo chased 400k

I feel bad for AD cuz he tried to show Boog loyalty and wear his jersey while he was injured at all star game & the douche leaves him for 2 McDoubles, a medium fry & a sweet tea

This guy gets it

Anyone with a brain saw this coming. Way more pissed about losing Rondo than Boogie in the grand scheme of things
