I’ve been following this kid since November and he’s never seemed the brightest kid if I’m being honest. Kinda goofy even. But his agency and people guiding him might be even more stupid. Kid might be in for a rude awakening next week

It may not mean much tho. People were saying similar stuff about Ant Edwards his draft year and look at him now

I can see him having a Cam Whitmore type of fall. So he refuses to work out for pretty much everyone and cancels his only scheduled workout.

I'm not sure why they think this is a good idea.

There are a lot of draft experts that have been basically saying that about him all season, not just now that all this stuff is coming out.

Very boom or bust player

He's tanking his value to try and fall to the Pels, a highly respected organization

One dimensional offensive chukker - check
Terrible advanced metrics - check
Team was awful even with another top 2 pick - check
Acting like a diva in pre-draft process - check
Looks kinda retarded - check

What could go wrong?

Isn’t this how Jalen Williams and that Halliburton stock dropped a couple years ago?

I don’t see much into this.

No to both lol. Jalen was a 3 year player at a small school who only had one good year. Haliburton was a stick with weird shooting mechanics that teams questioned would translate at the next level. There was no draft drama with either of these guys

Jalen Williams' stock rose sharply in the pre-draft process, it never dropped. Halliburton dropped a few spots lower than expected because teams are dumb.

Also Goodman says we’re in on Queen. Kinda makes sense since Dumars mentioned wanting to get bigger.

If we draft a guy like Queen, it'll definitely feel like a new direction. I don't think Griff, Bryson, or Langdon would take a guy like him in the top 10 due to his athletic profile.

However, a recent report suggests the Pelicans have not been interested in Bailey. NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on The Stein Line that their interest in Bailey has been "overstated."

"New Orleans has been routinely painted as a team with great interest in Bailey and, as a result, one looking to move up in the draft from its current No. 7 position. Yet league sources tell Marc Stein, publisher of The Stein Line, that the Pelicans' interest in Bailey has been overstated … and that they have not been actively trying to climb the lottery ladder with Bailey in mind," Fischer wrote.

It would be such a Pels move to draft one of them over Fears or Tre Johnson.

I feel like the draft is gonna be a disappointing as the lottery was. Dumars is gonna do what he does best, frick this up.

You can’t pass on either one just for potential high upside.
