One thing I've learned from all this mess is that "David Stern is the Devil" stories must really drive web traffic, no matter how untrue they are.

Excellent read, and also shows how out of touch many of the ESPN writers are with regards to the Hornets' situation.

They were talking about it on twitter and Sheridan direct messaged one of the writers asking what was his problem with the article.

Well they decided to write this up and email it to him.

Let's remember this anal orifice in 2 years when the Hornets should have one of the most talented young line-ups in the league, are selling out and are contending for a playoff spot.

At The Hive is the best Hornets site. The articles on Gordon and the trade this week were great.

I was one of the authors of that article. Appreciate the kind words. Thanks for reading. I spent quite a bit of time on that one. The rampant misinformation reported my national outlets gets old, and this particular instance got under our skin, so we decided to nail him.

Don't post on here very much, but I was the one who wrote this with LSUHornet17, and also wanted to thank everyone for checking out our rebuttal and sharing your thoughts about it.

FWIW: We got a reply from Bernucca in the form of a comment on his original column:

quote:

I saw the rebuttal. I thought it was a little nit-picky on some fronts but overall it presented the upbeat counterpoint to my "Gloomy Gus" view. A lot of this stuff comes down to "eye of the beholder" stuff. I like established players; others like draft picks. I like trying to fix what I have to remain perennially competitive; others like the wrecking ball and starting over. I like honesty; others like optimism.

Take from that what you will. He calls it “eye of the beholder” stuff. I myself take a bit of offense to that; I’d prefer to call it thorough research proving why his claims are invalid, but to each their own.

Coming from a national columnist, that's practically an apology.

Yep. Getting that much from him after being taken to task by "lowly bloggers" lets you know he knows he got his arse whupped.

Great job by yall on the rebuttal.
