I would actually just prefer the original Lakers deal than the deal with the Bulls. But I like the Lakers young players more than most on here, so once they landed the 4th pick I was in unless Boston really buys in.

Why on earth would we do that bulls deal instead of BI+Zo+4+2021 1st?

If we fudge this trade up for a guy like Lavine I will not support this joke of a franchise. They don’t deserve support from any of us.

Having Lebron take AD from us is 1 thing but to get a worse deal to help Lebron and LA win a title is suspect.

Woj was just on ESPN talking NBA and didn’t even mention this saga in the slightest.

Sounds like all’s quiet on the Western front. Time to pack it in for the weekend.

not going to lie...this day has been a massive bust from a fan entertainment stand point. I definitely thought we would have a few leaks by now with a little traction. not diggin through the bottom of some subreddit fodder.

IMO Silver told everybody to calm down for a day or two so they don't take headlines from the Finals champ.

Disclaimer.....This is a wild idea that i understand is ridiculous. I did not start a thread because it doesnt deserve one and i would get skullfricked with downvotes....

What if Boston included Brad Stevens in their package. Thats the type of trade that they make 30 for 30s about.

You weren’t paying attention when they traded Doc Rivers to the Clip Show about 8-10 years ago, were you?

Can’t mix compensation for a player with compensation for a front office employee like a GM or coach. That’s why Doc got sent to LA while Pierce and KG got sent to the Nets with restrictions in place not letting them be re traded to LA.

But like 1/100th of the actual Raptors/Warriors press. And Silver probably wasn't thinking ahead about that potential issue.

In a league where Tyronne Lue won a championship I’ll value talent well above coaching

Pretty petty revenue/personal income shakedown by the sheriff’s department and the deputy IMO.

Not a good look but also not an uncommon fundraising tactic.

Yeah, I don’t think players can be involved at all in coach trade, just draft picks. We might be able to do a deal with Boston (AD for Tatum et all), then a separate deal for Stevens. Idk if that would hold up with the nba though.

Regardless, I don’t think going for a weaker package from a player standpoint is in our best interest, even if it nets us Stevens. I have faith in the new front office. If We can have a light injury year and Gentry still underperforms, Griffin and Langdon will make the right hire
