Even if they PTAO their way to the finish line that's 47-35, which not only should guarantee the playoffs, but should be enough to avoid the Rockets/Warriors. They got the cushion they needed, lets hope they don't have to use it.

The team has a different level of confidence now. I think 11-7 is possible. They'll push for 50, especially if Niko is producing.

I was looking at this last night. I think you can easily find 10 wins in the next 18.

really anxious to see what they look like against the Rockets/Celtics.

So you expect us to go 7-11 down the stretch?

His trust factor with the team is lower than most of ours and hasn't been accurate all year. So if he's predicting 7-11 then they'll probably do much better.

PTAO?

Pelicans Theory of Alternating Outcomes. It was a pattern noticed by a rocket fan that frequents the board during the playoff season in Monty's last year, where the team would regularly lose games they shouldn't to bad teams and follow that loss up with a win they shouldn't have gotten against better teams to remain around .500. The pattern cropped up again in the first half of this season.

If we can get to 50 wins I’d be so happy

He should go back to not posting.

His last thread here was a screed about being "done" with the franchise and that he would never be a fan again. 10 game winning streak and he's back.....and shockingly still complaining.

I wish someone had compiled a list of posters who were boycotting until Gentry got fired, so we could check up on all of them.

The Pirate King was one of those people, and he was posting in the game thread last night

Pelicans need some help tho. Pelicans can somewhat easily get the 3 seed but the need the trailblazers to start losing. They have been just as hot and playing just as well as the pelicans.

Who do yall believe the Pelicans will play in the first round?

assuming they lose to HOU twice and GSW, thats 3 losses. assuming they beat MEM, PHX, DAL thats 3 wins, 3-3.

of the the remaining 12, NINE are at home. lets assume they rest and lose the pacers game during the BTBTB. let's call one of the WIZ/UTA games a loss pending AD's status.

so best case, 13- 5 for 51 wins and the likely 3 seed. take three more losses in the road games included in the remaining 12, and is 10- 8, for 48 wins, and a 50/50 shot at the 4th seed and home court in the 1st round.

47 wins if they PTAO would likely result in seed 5 or 6 and as you say, avoiding a near certain 1st round exit

I’m more concerned with fatigue coupled with The fact that it’s the hardest part of the schedule

5 games in 6 days is rough as hell in the NBA

They have been playing very well tho and have a lot of confidence. Plus a lot of the teams they play coming up already know they are in the playoffs and their seeds are just about wrapped up generally speaking. I think the blazers COULD stay hot these last couple games. Gonna need some of the teams to step up
