I have no idea how realistic any of these are, but I liked the article.

I'm sure this is that Harrison guy that was on TBW podcast the other day.
Let's just say he annoyed the ever living frick out of me, so I'm not even going to read this article.

What a bunch of shite. The hubris of these Lakers fricks is astonishing

That "godfather" offer is a joke. A "godfather" offer from the Lakers needs to be Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, Hart, #4, 2020 1st unprotected and 2022 1st unprotected.

I feel like the one with the suns would be decent, 3 top 7 picks in 1 draft is pretty good, TJ Warren is a good player, BI has loads of potential, and Wagner is a stretch 5. By far the best LAL offer is
LAL: AD
Washington: Ball, #4, 2021 1st (LAL), 2022 pick swap (LAL) Hart
NOP: Beal, Ingram, 2020 pick swap (LAL), 2023 1st (LAL)
LAL: AD
Washington: Ball, #4, 2021 1st (LAL), 2022 pick swap (LAL) Hart
NOP: Beal, Ingram, 2020 pick swap (LAL), 2023 1st (LAL)

The Godfather offer didn’t include ball. Beal and Davis are traded and the lakers didn’t need to move Zo or Kuzma. What world is this dude living in?

Exactly. This dude was on The Bird Writes podcast the other day and I absolutely hated his guts. He was the verbal equivalent of ever Lakers fan on Reddit. Awful.
I turned it off several times.

So the Suns send #6, a second first round pick, and TJ Warren out for Lonzo and the rights to eat Solo’s contract? Wtf kind of idiot would think that any team would possibly do something like that...

Why is the "godfather" offer worse than the other two?

These fans on Twitter are literally saying "ugh, just give us what we want!"

"godfather" offer
that doesn't mean what they think it means, that is in no way a "godfather" offer

Basically, the Lakers wouldn’t be willing to give up the good stuff, so maybe some other team would do it to help them out.

Well I mean they got Lebron for nothing - FA
Last time they wanted to go out and get big names they traded future picks (no players)
quote:
The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired two-time MVP Steve Nash from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for first round draft picks in 2013 and 2015 as well as second round draft picks in 2013 and 2014, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak.
OR they traded Bynum and trash and got Dwight.
quote:
C Andrew Bynum, F Josh McRoberts, and G/F Christian Eyenga FOR Dwight Howard, Chris Duhon, Earl Clark
OR if you go back further..
quote:
On February 1, 2008, Memphis traded Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers along with a 2010 second round draft pick for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, the rights to Marc Gasol (Pau's younger brother), and 2008 and 2010 first round draft picks.
Now.. Nash and Howard did not work out at all but at the time it was thought to be a slam dunk, also nobody knew Marc Gasol would be a all star... at the time it was fleecing.
I'm just saying this could be why laker fans expect the world for pennies.

Ingram, Lonzo, and 4 is fair value, IMO. But value fair doesn't mean that Griffin likes the assets, regardless of their value.
You can tell it's fair value, because when HP posted that on Twitter he had people from both sides mad about his tweet. If both sides are unhappy, it's probably fair.

Thank God you aren't in charge then

If it was “fair” to Griffin, the deal would have been done. The outline is clear and the Lakers nor any teams have been able to meet the criteria yet.

Why do Lakers Pels trades not work in the ESPN Trade machine? I have no idea what I'm doing but when entering AD for every single Lakers piece available it says the numbers don't work (still can't get within $5 million of AD's salary). What am I doing wrong?

Lonzo will be disgruntled about being traded here and counting down the days until he can either leave in FA or force his way out in a trade. Basically another Eric Gordon, but with less talent and the circus drama that is Lavar.
Ingram has potential but also comes with a big risk because of the blood clot issue. He could develop into a solid piece or could be forced to retire early like Chris Bosh.
The Lakers would need to offer a lot more than Lonzo, Ingram and 4th pick.

I'll gladly take 3 future first round picks for letting the Lakers keep Kuzma
