Great the Pelicans get embarrassed by the Nuggets in a gentleman's sweep 4-1.
If its in the second round against a team like the Nuggets, thats a solid to successful season. Thats not embarrassing at all. This team needs experience in the playoffs. You’re trying to get them to the nba finals when this team hasn’t won a series. Come back down to reality.

Every game throughout the entire season is must win. Beating a dead horse.. but when drop 2 games against Utah, the hawks, the bulls….whoever ….and we have these utter lemons going ‘it’s a long season, I don’t care about a loss in November’
Yeah that’s because every team has those issues. Its part of the nba season. Unless you’re the 72-10 bulls, you’re going to have games like that. At the end its just doing your best to position yourself for the playoffs. This is a young team, they’re learning how to do that. We’re in position to get homecourt in the first round. If I said that to you in November, how many of you would have gladly took that?
Let’s not panic and be like oh if we beat the Jazz in November this wouldn’t be an issue. This season as long as we avoid the play-in and have a competitive series in the first round where we have a shot of winning it- thats a successful season.

Do I like the Pels more than the Wolves without KAT on paper? Yes. But the NBA playoffs often come down to who has the best player on the court. Ant is too good to count the Wolves out of any series in the playoffs. The same can be said of the Thunder and their foul merchant SGA.
It’s a treacherous path in every direction. Just win as much as you can and let the chips fall where they may.

I agree the main goal is just avoid the play-in and see what happens. Sure I prefer the clippers but I want this team to be hitting on all cylinders entering the playoffs.

But if we won every game and were undefeated it wouldn’t be an issue. I mean its not just the Jazz in November. Again every team in the league even the best ones have those type of losses. Lamenting over it is just silly.

Pels are going to finish no better than 4-6, and fall to the 7 seed and have a play in. Just watch.

Clippers at Orlando tomorrow night. Could be back in the 4th seed tomorrow.

Getting 6th and drawing Minnesota might be one of the better scenarios.
no... no, it's absolutely not...

I agree with you Antman is on a mission.

Some huge games tomorrow: Clippers(-1.5) at Magic, Suns(-1.5) at Thunder and Mavs at Kings(-1.5).

Don't car the seed or the matchup, I just want to avoid Denver the 1st 2 rounds.
I get we may not get there, I get it may lower our odds of winning round 1 but I rather increase our chances of a deep run. Best route for that is avoid Denver.

Pels chances are solid imo.
If we get OKC or LAC, we don't have the best player going into the series imo.

If we get either OKC or LAC we at least have a perimeter defender who is lockdown enough to negate the best player in the series. Sorta like Jrue vs Dame in 2018.
We have no shot against Denver or Dallas though.

Again, other than falling to the play in, worse case scenario is 4/5 vs Dallas in round 1 with Denver at the 1 seed. Yuck. I'll take the 6 seed against either OKC or Minny day over that.
